Introduction
(I wrote this post after years of dating in several major U.S. cities. My experiences may be a bit biased because most of the women I've met were educated, career-oriented, liberal, and white aged 24-40. These guidelines may differ for women of other demographics.)
We all know that in 2024, American women harbor the lowest levels of respect for men in all of human history. Some of this disrespect surfaces in the first few minutes of meeting them. Thus, regardless of whether it's for casual dating or serious relationships, it's important for men to know when to end a date early and how to do it in a respectful yet masculine manner.
Why end a date early at all?
A) It builds your mental immunity to a woman's beauty.
B) It's the most masculine thing to do, once you learn the correct reasons to do it. As long as you do it for the right reasons, it's a clear DHV for any male. It also shows bravery--Men these days are too scared to end first dates early.
C) When you end a first date early, it causes the woman to show more respect to any men she meets in the future, so you'd be paying it forward to other men. As you'll realize below, women who exemplify the typical behaviors which qualify the premature ending of a first date are also the same women whose fathers were either pussies or absent. Strong, masculine fathers tend to raise daughters who show a good amount of respect for all men they meet. So when guys end first dates early, they're effectively "crowdsourcing" the grooming that these women's fathers never did for them--It's a win-win for everyone.
D) It saves you time.
6 Signs To Look For:
1) She's easily distracted by stimuli other than you: Let's say you two are meeting at a restaurant. It's only been 15 minutes since you sat down, and you already notice her gawking and exclaiming at random stuff in the background that you aren't even aware of, in the middle of your deep conversation. Examples include "Wow, look at the pretty purse of the girl sitting behind you!" and other phrases that make her sound like the dog from the Disney movie "Up" who kept saying "Squirrel!". This means she doesn't feel stimulated by you and isn't attracted to you.
2) She checks her phone several times without even saying sorry for it: It means the same thing as above--She's not feeling you. Just end the date. You're doing yourself a favor because you don't wanna get into a relationship with a chick who views her phone the same way a crackhead views cocaine. Women like this also tend to have poor impulse control and are less likely to be faithful.
3) She forgets things you already told her and asks you the same questions over and over: If she asks you questions that you already answered, and especially if she does it several times, just end the date. She's proving that she's not attracted to you and is disrespectful of your time. When she makes eye contact with you, she's only pretending to listen. If she were actually attracted to you, your words would be imprinted in her memory.
4) She doesn't laugh or even fake-laugh at any of your banter, no matter how much you vary them between dumb dad jokes and intellectual humor: If she goes the entire date without even smiling, she's straight up not feeling you. You shouldn't waste any of your time or hers. Just end the date early.
5) You find out you're the 3rd (or more) guy she met in the same week. Women who go on lots of dates like it's a hobby are doing so for ignoble reasons--Maybe she enjoys the free validation from dudes or she's just trying to get over her ex. Either way, she's committing the crime of wasting your time. A woman like this views men as hopeful tryouts to become her boyfriend and gets a high from the power she feels, as though she's hosting job interviews. She sees men as clowns whose purpose is to entertain her. She uses dates as a form of escapism to fill a void in her life. Women with strong father figures, who have a healthy amount of self-respect and respect for men, do not meet large numbers of guys so often, even for first dates.
Sidenote: Her devaluation of you is more obvious if she adamantly insists on squeezing in the date on a weekday night timeslot and meeting close to where she lives so she doesn't have to travel far. This means you're nowhere near the top of her list of men for scheduling -- You're just a potential backup guy. Of all the guys she's talking to, a girl reserves her chads for the weekends. This is because she knows she doesn't have to wake up early the next morning for work and is able to spend a longer time in the evening going on adventures with these chads.
6) You feel the pressure to fill up long silences. Silences are not a reliable marker of a date going poorly. A girl can be quiet and still be really into you! However, if you feel like the girl wants you to keep talking, or if you feel disproportionately more pressure than her to fill up the silence, you should end the date because it's clear that she's not into you, especially if she also shows the other 5 signs above.
When it comes to the above 6 signs, I've noticed that for some reason, women in the 25-29 age group are the biggest offenders. Women younger than 25 and older than 30 tend to be more respectful. My theory is that it's because this age range: A) has the most beta men; B) has women who have the most experience while still looking youthfully attractive enough to garner attention from chads; and C) has women who are approaching peaks in their careers.
How to End A Date Early
It's obviously contextual. You wouldn't end a skydiving date the same way you'd end a date at your local pub or one at your own house, but the energy should be the same: Be respectful yet straightforward.
Yes, you could just make up some excuse to leave her, but this is not masculine, it's conflict-averse. It's masculine to be honest. If you're honest, it will stick with her and she'll never forget it for the rest of her life and it will positively impact the way she treats other men. Guys who choose the make-up-an-excuse route are not helping out the world by doing so.
Here's an example: You and her meet at a restaurant and she starts showing several of the above 6 signs. You could say something along the lines of "Hey, wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to come and meet me. I feel like we're not really connecting and don't wanna waste your time, so I think it's reasonable to call it a night" If there's still a pending bill, you should pay it. Or if you're in a hurry, drop $30 cash on the table and tell her "This should cover your meal and your ride home." Then politely escort her outside and bid her farewell. These actions would collectively represent peak masculinity.
Don't Fall for Mind Games: How She'll Typically Respond
9 times out of 10, you'll be the first guy to ever do this to her. Of course she'll be surprised no matter how hard she tries to hide it.
Most of the time she'll accept things quietly and parallel your level of politeness. But sometimes she'll resort to her defense mechanisms and try to rationalize to you why you're wrong for ending the date. In my experience, these rationalizations are truly just defense mechanisms and what usually happens is she may send you thoughtful texts over the next couple days but when you respectfully accept her input and proceed to ask her out on a 2nd date, she says no or ghosts you, only proving that her words were merely to restore her ego to its baseline level and that she was never attracted to you in the first place.
The Red Pill tenet is that sexual attraction cannot be negotiated -- Sexual attraction is visceral. She's either into you or she's not, and she already knows this within the first 30 minutes of meeting you for the first time. That's it. If she shows the above signs then it doesn't make sense to prolong a date beyond this timeframe because it doesn't give her any additional data to make sexual decisions. It is extremely unlikely that any future dialogue will lead to a 2nd date. Women are biologically hardwired to choose their top option and you were not it.
I'm not basing this protocol on theory. I'm stating it from firsthand experimentation. As long as you've been polite and respectful throughout the first date, including when you ended it with her, and as long as you ended the first date for the correct reasons (listed above), then you have done no wrong, especially if you paid for the date and her ride. Therefore, if a girl does not want to see you again, it isn't because you wronged her, it's because she was never attracted to you in the first place.
Summary
Whether it's a serious relationship or a first date, being able to respectfully end an encounter with a woman is a masculine trait. As a man your biggest strength is the ability to walk away and to use your own logic to resist unhealthy temptations.
