In light of the whole Harvey Weinstein fiasco, the world is on red alert of men trying to use their job as a guise to romantically engage with clients. (Yes, we know Harvey had no game, but still, the principle applies.)

The BETTER result of being an Instagram photographer to attractive models is the pre-selection it will provide with women who are NOT your clients. If she knows you spend all day surrounded by 8's, 9's, (and possibly: 10's), then that will trigger in her the realization that you have options.

Sentence summary: Don't use your photography job to date clients, rather, use it for the pre-selection and abundance mentality that it provides in relation to women who are NOT your clients.

Executed correctly I'm sure some savvy dudes could just pretend to like photography in order to photograph and meet amateur models.

There are a few problems here:

You have to have a decent portfolio to show. This means you have to invest...
...time and money to develop skills required to take decent/good pictures and skills required to guide the girl.
That also means you need time and money to go to locations.
She's not there for you, she's there for the photos.

This route makes sense only of you're already a photographer (and a decent one at that) b/c unless you already have portfolio like Timur Emek, you're going to have to act like a salesman for your services AND then try to game the girls. You might as well try gaming them directly without the photographer spiel.

Except you're meeting them in the context of providing a service, so it inherently makes you beta. I think it's more of an 'advanced beta' way of getting laid. You called them 'amateur models'. They are not. They are women, who have cell phones with filters and internet connections. I'm a bit older than you guys, but I completely ignore Instagram altogether. Although it's a great opener if you actually like to go to cool things and actually enjoy yourself; the Instagram are hard to miss. Hint, look for the girl wearing makeup on a 8 hour hike.

I see this a lot with myself having photography as a source of income outside of music. It's pretty low to see accounts with an absurd amount of half-naked women. Not only that but EVERYBODY is a photographer of some sort today and almost all of their Instagram portfolio's consists of the same over-saturated side boob post of an hb 6-8. My question for these photographers is what are they really trying to accomplish and what will set their portfolio's apart from every other photographer out there. Whats the REAL value you are providing for this world. I find it disappointing when a medium of art is used as a destructive weapon for the very movement that is ravaging the very world we live in. Photography has more productive uses and has no business to fuel hypergamy.

The census here on TRP is that social media is a waste of your time and energy for 90% of guys out there, who would be better off channeling their time and energy into other elements of their life like lifting, studying, or whatever their daily grind is.

Who said that these guys are getting laid behind the scenes? Seems to me that these girls are getting the sweeter end the deal, because they are getting a free service, and while it is not the best out there, it still probably exceeds the opportunity costs (zero) and there it is a net deposit to their self-absorbed esteem account. What women is gonna say no to that? AWALT alert.

I don't see how a non-beta guy would be even the slightest of motivated to give these women their time and attention without getting paid or a guarantee of some ass. Posting pics of hot girl poses on Instagram is the equivalent of Youtube click-bait and it is making you anymore alpha in your RL interactions by doing so.

Instagram photographer dudes are mostly always fat nice guy creeps. Most of them too are totally on board with the "call out culture" bullshit and "male feminists" who would literally chop off their penis on stage just to get validation and approval from their peers.

Source: I go to an art college and know a bunch of them through my network. Lots of them have been "called out" for being creepy themselves down the line.

I'm 21 and have been off of Instagram and all social media for a bit now, since January of 2016.

You don't see that shit the same anymore after going MIA.

I need to go back on there when I become a personal trainer to market that shit and gain clients and be smart about it so I thought it'd be good to take a look through and see all the weird shit they added since then.

I look around and I check around and see every basic girl thinking she's either a model because they cucked some dude with a DSLR camera into taking their pictures or befriend girls with cameras to take pictures for them and basically use them for their cameras. More and more girls, I scroll down and they're all having pictures taken in some little hiking trip or on some scenic path and what not.

A friend of mine at the gym really has a passion for this stuff, and is investing a lot into doing it as a career, not like the usual chump "photographers". He's had so many instances where girls will get all friendly with him, and get their pictures taken. He'll sometimes hook it up and build up his portfolio, but the 2nd time he'll make the offer for a certain price. You should see how funny it is that all these girls instantly cut contact with him or get all mad and upset with him for it and all of a sudden stop being friendly. He's a really cool guy and seems to get a kick out of it. One girl who is especially narcissistic is and trying to become the next big Instagram hoe got super upset and now just tries to give him and the boys the cold shoulder when they're in the gym because he said that for the next set of photos it'd be $200.

Other dudes are complete pussies and will either let themselves be used up out of ignorance, thinking the girls actually want to be friends or have a possibility of dating, or are so fucking cucked that they'll just do it for any opportunity to be close to a hot girl. It's sad and kind of pathetic.

I'm currently plating a girl who does this with dudes. She tried doing this to me almost instantly upon seeing my Insta but I shot her down telling her I only do landscapes and nature, not people (which is true). I viewed it basically as a shit test. No chance in hell I'll take professional looking "fitness" photos of her showing off her ass for thirsty orbiters to jerk off to.

It is Scummy and Pointless. The moment you try to make ANY money off them for pictures they will just go on to the next 15 guys offering her free pictures.

This whole ruse is just so the guys doing it don't feel weird talking to a woman. That's all, guys are pussies and scared to talk to hot women. So they pretend to offer photo services so they can flirt with them while doing the shoot because they feel to uncomfortable just talking to women.

Instead of trying to learn an artform you have no actual passion for and scamming women of their time for some shit photos do this.

Walk up to 100 women and try to start a conversation with them. You don't even have to hit on them, just go talk to them about anything.

Why is that button red? Oh that is an interesting shirt whats that logo mean? Do you know where I can get a halfway healthy meal around here? Excuse me, where is the nearest starbucks?(this is espeically fun while right infront of/near an actual starbucks.)

Honestly just vommit out the first thing in your head that isn't "Your hot, I wanna fuck you" and run with it for as long as possible.

Do that single thing will teach you more about gaming women and more importantly it will teach you to stop being afraid to start a simple conversation.

IF you have problems actually approaching women, go play real life tinder.

If I told you I know a guy that never was into photography and really doesn't have much experience in it at all, bought a $300 camera to take pictures of his girl who is a pretty talented photographer. The sad thing is she doesn't even want to do it because she has her hubby doing it for her. She wants to be the star. I did some basic consulting working for her at one point and told her to continue her strengths she refused because I told her a "lifestyle blog" (Whatever that means) is what she really wants to do... So yeah crazy how the Rational Male is so to the T sometimes.

I'm in the advertising industry and I can back this up, it happens. Women will masquerade as models when in actual fact all they're doing is free photo shoots so that the photographer can get more pictures for portfolio.

99% of them are part of any agency, it's just one massive show so that they can get male validation

Most of these guys arent charging the women, trust me I know I have connections to said girls you are talking about. They do it for free. And the girls usually arent "paying" in any manner.

So in the end men are still giving out handouts.
