Just read Jack Donovan’s post Everyone a Harlot on AltRight, which brought up an issue I’ve also had with some Manosphere figureheads.
That being the “if you don’t have a 50+ notch count, you’re not a real man” types.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always deeply admired guys who womanize and can achieve those numbers. I’m not hating on those guys and I’m a proponent of game myself, but what pisses off is the view that certain men aren’t worth listening to because they don’t get laid a lot.
The reality is, most people outside the Manosphere, TRP or seduction community don’t really give a fuck about your notch count. At the bottom of it, it’s just you following your ego and letting it control you. There’s no ‘enlightenment’ to be found in some slag’s smelly, wet cunt. It’s just you getting your dick wet.
Also going around and fucking each other all the time is just all part of the ‘Bonobo Masturbation Society’ and it’s still a femcentric reality. Our society over-emphasizes sex, to the point that it’s the only thing in life to strive for, especially as men. As if it’s the only way to define our masculinity. When infact masculinity is something else:
In healthy patriarchies, men push themselves to earn the respect and admiration of other men. They work to prove their strength, courage and competence to each other. Men pride themselves on their reputation for mastery of their bodies, their actions, and their environment. They want to be known for what they can do, not just how well or who they can screw. And they sure as hell don't waste their time trying to figure out what they can do to bedazzle bimbos.
This is a masculinity defined by other men, not by women and how best to please them by giving them what they want. Sometimes I feel this is what ‘Alpha’ within a PUA context is. Instead ask yourself, what YOU want as a man?
Don’t go gym only to improve your chances with women and show off. Go for yourself. Go to improve your strength, do this as a personal achievement you set yourself. Go gym to improve your health.
But to be fair to PUAs, you can say cold approaching is a sign of masculinity because it shows assertiveness and risk-taking - it’s a sign of courage. Betas are seen as ‘lesser-men’ because they lack courage and the spine to not only get what they but also to stand up to women when they should do.
