The more people feel that your best interest is their best interest, the more they'll care about how you fare. The best way to do that is by making them feel like if they cross you, you will destroy them (it is safer to be feared than loved), the second best way is inspiring them. It's better still to do both of those things. If someone thinks of you as a powerful person in their industry with a ton of connections, who knows their shit intimately and they know that fucking with you will fuck them over - they will almost never fuck with you.

In the rare cases they do - have plans for what you'll do and what you'll say - broadly speaking.

Bullseye.

Your theories are Machiavellian to a tee, and rightly so, as his publishings are some of the greatest to uplift the mindset of the everyday guy. After I read "The Prince", my outlook on many things changed for the better.

Don't surround yourself with toxic people and you will be fine.

[–]SuperSlavisWife1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No surefire way. Vindictiveness, jealousy, fear and confusion are rife in the Western world and any sufferers are liable to call the police on you, tell your friends lies about you or send an email to your boss claiming you're a racist. I've been arrested (albeit not charged) over things I didn't do, just because other women decided I had annoyed them and needed to be "taught a lesson". People will try and screw you over no matter what.

Sure, you can make yourself independent, work for yourself, avoid interacting with people who don't worship the ground you walk on. But even if you avoid 99% of those who want to hurt you, the 1% you don't avoid may be the 1% who deal the most damage. Your worst bet is certain destruction, your safest bet is a gamble.

I have seen a few posts similar to this and have had a friend of mine state bluntly that he, "is going to become a monk to get away from our fucked up materialistic and conformist society."

I will tell you what I told him.

  • Establish a strong set of core values to include honor, integrity, motivation, strength, and loyalty.

This will help you to find strength in yourself and help mitigate the need for external validation. If you know you're doing the right thing and are there for those who need you, the self confidence and pride you display will motivate those around you to do the same.

In the event you have toxic leeches surrounding you trying to take advantage of your strength and pure approach to living as a man, remove them. This is where strength comes in; it's not just physical and mental but also strength as a leader. Leaders are the guys who can say, "No." when the time comes.

Learn to say, "No."

  • Don't just share your successes (see: Facebook) but also own your failures. The way I have approached this and it has been beneficial is that I have let others share my victories and I always share my failure.

When you own what is perceived as a negative (Not getting the job, coming in 4th at a race, missing your lift at a competition) nobody can use it against you.

Think about the rap battle in 8 Mile, he lays it all out there and it removes the power from the other person.

Remove the power from others and they will have nothing to come at you with, you will have essentially taken the bullets from their gun.

Life is not about playing it safe. In my opinion, life is about service to others. How many people around you can you influence enough to make positive changes?

Coaches, Politicians, (Inset famous name) these guys influenced those around them and (in their eyes) helped. I get that some were bad Hitler I'm looking at you but a lot of the 'good guys' did not play it safe and they were able to improve the standard from which we are living.

Don't be afraid of women, be educated and prepared for them. Bitches be crazy, I was fortunate enough to find my unicorn at an early age and was able to maintain a standard that kept her coming for more. But it wasn't by accident.

I refused to marry her before we went through a deployment, I also tested her loyalty, commitment, strength, etc. I am very selective when it comes to marriage advice as there are too many things that can go wrong, but when you find the one fucking light in the dark ass cave, it is worth it.

Make your woman earn the right to be your wife (If you ever get to that point)

Don't ever play it safe, too many men live and die with nothing in between. For some, that's all they want. But for others, living is making a difference. Live your life honorably and with the set of values I mentioned and I think you will mitigate any chance of you being accused of anything.

Good Luck.

Edit: If you are falsely accused of something, do not run from it or apologize and sulk. you are a man and we need more men who are willing to not only confront these false accusations but also ready to bring it to the main stage.

I've never raped, assaulted, etc a woman. Let's say I was elected Mayor/Won the Lotto/Became a celebrity tomorrow and some chick accused me of something I didn't do. I would go to every news station, show, newspaper, etc and get the story out there that a woman is falsely accusing me of something, she has no proof, and that it is unacceptable that men are being treated this way.

The amount of drones sitting in front of the TV is absurd and WAY too high. Maybe it is time we stop trying to hush hush these stories and get them out into the heads of those who are stuck in the TV loop.

I wish we could get TRP to every male out there. Unfortunately that is not the reality in which we live. So the next best option is to start breaking the mold and refusing to conform. This will catch the attention of others (we have 90,940 subscribers as of this moment) and the domino effect will occur.

It's about education and refusing to back down from what is right.

"One of the most difficult undertakings is too bring about a new way of doings things, because people who prospered under the old order will oppose you vehemently. Therefore, we can conclude that if a man has a plan that he wants to bring to action, he would be better off not telling anyone, because the success of his plan lies in his ability to conceal and protect it." - paraphrasing from Niccolo Macchiavelli's "The Prince"

There was a quote from Sin City too where a guy said:

"When you got people believing what they know in their hearts ain't true, then you got em by the balls"

Your comment :It's about education and refusing to back down from what is right.

I agree. Never trust anyone else with the direction and integrity of your personal education. Self school and be a self starter when you can.

Above all, never leave your education up to those who seek to profit from you.

never leave your education up to those who seek to profit from you.

This quote packs a heavy punch; I will definitely be committing it to memory and passing it on.

Honored. Reminds me of the old jui jitsu master and the student.

The master teaches his student holds and submissions, but the master knows 360, the student at best knows 359. When the student challenges his master for the final bout before his final belt, the master uses hold number 360, to keep the student to sensei relationship intact.

Don't be a product of your environment. They'd love nothing more. Make your environment a product of you. Focus on the intrinsic things you can control. Devalue extrinsic things that rob a person of their focus.

Above all though, all continuous suffering is self inflicted.
