Oneitis: basically, you think she could be “the one”/one girl is the focus of all your effort and attention. It’s dangerous. There are plenty of hot singles in your area, as the ads say.

Thanks. Yeah that's exactly what was going on. So now I am just trying not to think of her/look at pictures of her etc. And realize it wasn't meant to be. I think I sort of got addicted to her attention though, and also set out with a sort of determination to make things work, but now I would only be going against the grain. I have fallen easily before. I feel like I need to explore that part of myself and learn to not get overly-excited about every girl that gives me that special feeling.

Could be that her interest was piqued but her tingles were not activated, try to escalate to a face to face meet up

thanks. this may have to do with the fact that I wasn't really aiming to activate her tingles or even sleep with her. I really think in this case I saw her as "the one" and had all these future ideas about marriage, etc. I know how crazy that sounds, but meeting her lit something on fire in me that made me want to be a better man, or the man I think I need to be for her.
I'm also thinking that I may be a bit codependent. In this case is a girl that I admire struggling with addiction and I want to save her, but I can't.
