Looks and aestheticism are more important early on in a relationship or at least in initial attraction. If you are unable to maintain an alpha frame, monetary status will have almost no meaning in the end.

So I would agree to an extent and say that you still need both.

Given the demographic of Reddit (college age kids that can't make money yet, or recent college grads that have negative networth), there are going to be a lot of complaints saying that money isn't that important. I see posts about how money = beta bucks.

The reality is, socioeconomic class seems to be the strongest predictor of everything positive. People in higher socioeconomic classes divorce less. There are less single mothers (broken relationships or attempts at vaginamony honey trapping). Obesity rates are lower. People with higher income look better.

I'm not sure if you can really even separate socioeconomic class vs lifting/muscle/looks in most cases because they are closely linked. Because you rarely have someone who is stacked in the latter category who comes from the lower class. TV shows and movies often show "poor" people who are good looking and jacked. They over-expose the ghetto culture and make it seem like the hood is full of huge jacked black men with six packs. That is not the case in reality.

Also, while college students don't have money, they are not actually poor. They typically live in environments that would be expensive (e.g. they are not in the ghetto where they have to worry about people climbing through the window at night). That dorm room may be small, but towns with crime rates and education levels as low as a college campus are very expensive. They've had a lot of capital invested into them when they were younger. For example, most of them did not come from dirt poor backgrounds, so they had access to orthodontics when they were young. And they come from better school systems which had higher funding than shitty schools. A 21-year old alpha in college may think money doesn't matter, but he just doesn't know how much capital was invested into him already. If you are a college student and you take some shitty major and become unemployed, thinking that money doesn't matter, you're in for a bad time in the future because nobody is going to make those investments in you (that you probably didn't realize they were making) any more.
