Hello all,
I’ve deleted this post twice today because I couldn’t quite get the wording or title right, I’m pretty satisfied with it now though. The large amount of links I’ve included throughout this post are ‘additional resources’ and can be looked at separately from this article, it should make plenty of sense on its own without them for immediate context.
The below is aimed at people who are currently struggling with women or don’t even know where to begin with regards to how to start Gaming them, as well as people that maybe feel they’re not getting the success-rate they desire and could otherwise achieve, saying that though, there might be something interesting for everybody in here.
I hope this helps…
UTILISING MONK MODE PROPERLY
Monk Mode is a term used to describe a self-imposed portion of time where you take yourself away from intensive thinking and begin some intensive doing and learning, where you abstain from laziness, vices and excesses whilst really putting the hard work in to make your goals a reality.
I have heard it argued before that the worst thing someone who is currently struggling with women can do is cut themselves off from interacting with them using a spurious line of thought that claims you’ll be able to ‘jump back in’ without missing a step once you’ve spent time in Monk Mode – I see where people are coming from with this, I do, however...
...I would always contend that it’s impossible for people who don’t possess value to give it to others, subsequently making gaining success socially or with women very difficult, and if you’re just starting out or are a long-time lurker lacking Game – I really do recommend it, because you must focus on yourself before you focus on women.
After all, she isn’t likely to want you just because.
Monk Mode needs to be personally tailored to you and it needs to focus upon where you are weakest; if you’ve got a decent body but no particular skills; you’ll want to focus on intellectual pursuits. If you’ve got a decent mind and a lot of academic qualifications, you’ll want to focus on physical pursuits.
I’d generally recommend three months-worth of Monkin’ if you’re of a mind to do it at all.
Here are some highly subjective ideas that you might like to think about, some of which I’ll flesh out further in this post;
- Stay away from the internet for a while, unplug from social media, abstain from Netflix and keep off Reddit and YouTube for anything but informational content.
- Stop wanking! Embark on a mission of No-Fap .
- Read some classic literature and acquire some information about your country’s history and politics.
- Up-date your Resume/CV and see where it is lacking, think about what type of academic pursuit you might want to learn about and see if there are any options to that end in your area. There are a lot of online educational sources and distance learning outlets now too, in case you’ve been living under a rock and weren’t aware!
- Take up a sport; if you’re concerned about getting injured – tough, it’s going to happen – but if you’re interested in doing combat sports but don’t want to get hit a lot you can always opt for BJJ, Collegiate/Greco-Roman Wrestling, Judo or Aikido.
- Craft yourself into a great communicator, learn to deal masterfully with people and get what you want with minimal effort.
- Clean up your diet; aim for as little processed sugar as is physically possible. Cut out carbonated drinks, fast food and candy. Increase your in-take of fruit, veg and whole-grain foods.
- Play video games if you want to in your down time, by all means, but stay away from playing online – way too much of a time-sink.
- Be ruthless with your money, go without ‘treats’, and, regarding food - if you’re in the habit of buying your lunch out every day, opt for pack-lunches and do whatever you can to protect those pennies.
- Keep track of your progress. It’s difficult to visualise how working out will help you in the long-run after just two weeks (in my experience, when the crankiness sets in), or how reading a book will help you in the long-run. But if you make it all part of a fun ‘box-ticking’ procedure where you keep a Word document or write your progress down in a note-pad you will be able to see for yourself the advancements you are making.
Don’t let Monk Mode become an excuse to exclusively focus on these things forever, you do need to eventually start *speaking** to women.*
Thoughts on Exercise/Lifting
Getting into specifics about this on TRP is a sure-fire way to end up with a shit-show in the comments, nutrition and exercise are a very imprecise science – except for the most basic basics.
Regardless I’ve said before; it doesn’t matter if you can’t end up with the imposing physique of Brock Lesnar or shredded to fuck with low body fat like a Muay Thai fighter – understand that the vast majority of women like the look of lean, muscular men and by you putting in no more effort than is required to tightly pack a ‘Large’ sized T-Shirt you’re going to get a huge SMV-Boost.
Here are some of my favourite fitness YouTubers – here and here - please make sure you click on the ‘Playlist’ button to see their full routines. (PS, I don’t care if you think they’re natty or not.)
There is also this channel for motivation, if you’re interested.
Most important thing about Lifting or any type of exercise? Remember that you can’t out-train a bad diet and that you don’t get to witness results overnight, you need to stick with it.
I struggle with eating enough calories to maintain any significant bulk, is that a problem for any of you? If so you might like this product - it’s just a vegan, nutritionally complete, food-replacement powder that is great for upping your caloric intake without having to cook or consume sugary supplements. Cheap too.
Can’t get to the gym? Here you go.
Crafting Great Communication Skills
The most important pieces of advice I feel I could personally give to anyone regarding becoming a good communicator is as thus;
- Develop a fascination for other people’s opinions.
- Always listen more than you speak.
- Cultivate a craving for social interactions and speak to as many people as you can.
This lad is a supreme communicator , and there is this seminal book and this one that I’m reading right now.
I’ve got these Conversation pieces I did as well – here and here.
Changing Your Physical Appearance
Beard? Hair? Posture is extremely important and good posture can compensate for a multitude of sins, one of our very own Geniuses wrote this piece for us to help fix the niggles.
I also believe that you should abstain from brand clothing, why pay more money to advertise for someone else? Buy stuff that fits your frame.
I don’t like this guy, but he does seem to know his stuff. By all means, make your own minds up on him.
I want to be clear as well guys, I’m an ugly dude, and so I know it’s crucial that you don’t let your facial appearance define your life.
Changing your diet, drinking plenty of water, taking care of your skin, whitening your teeth, changing hair styles (or shaving head if balding, if you can’t, look into Propecia or Regaine), fixing your posture and packing on some muscle will make a difference to how your face is perceived. Around 3 years ago I felt my life had no meaning, I was extraordinarily ugly (still am, heh) and got no attention from women whatsoever – work was uncomfortable for me, it was literally that bad for me, I was treated like I was invisible. I’ve changed a lot for myself and I’ve been surprised by the results.
Don’t give up on yourself if your physical appearance is lacking, life is long, you never know how it can change for you if you have the bravery to make changes and stick to them.
Lacking confidence? I’ve got you covered here.
Thoughts On Women
From an earlier post of mine;
”Most men’s pulling strategies absolutely suck, I mean seriously suck, and if you can bear to put in just a little bit of effort, thought and courage into what you yourself do instead then you will completely out-perform them.”
The most important things to do with women in my view, deliberately keeping it pretty basic;
- Approach, handsome guys might get chicks orbiting them. But if you ain’t handsome, don’t expect it. Women, your bro’s and the universe at large don’t give a shit about fairness or how unjust others being genetically-blessed seems to you. Make it happen, force the change.
- LEAD WOMEN, after you’ve approached immediately get the woman invested in you, complying with instructions and following you. “Let’s go sit over here.” / “Come and join me at my table.” / “Let’s go grab a drink in here.” - command, don’t suggest.
- A strong Frame is extremely attractive. It seems a contentious to correctly define on TRP but, for me, frame has always meant the attitude I adopt which communicates to people that I’m not going to allow myself to be steered by their wishes, get derailed from getting what I want and it’s primarily a way of subtly projecting my confidence and sexual…viability??? Ha, ha, ha. Anyway, hold your frame against all comers.
- If you’re a seriously thirsty boy that suddenly starts getting a lot of attention don’t settle for an LTR straight away, seriously, it’s not virtuous and you’ll end up back-sliding. Play the field for a while.
- Be implicit with your life and achievements over explicit, there is nothing tantalising about the “market-retailers method” where a dude just lays out his meagre wares and hopes some random female will find it impressive enough to let him nob her.
- For God’s sake don’t let yourself become bitter. It can be hard sometimes facing rejection after rejection and reading articles about how your peers have had similar experiences, but unless you are prepared to become an appreciator of the feminine you will struggle to get laid. No, this isn’t true for 100% of people and treating women like dirt will often get you laid if you’ve got rock solid Game and Frame along with a butt-ton of experience. But, do you have those things? Better to start off using honey instead of vinegar.
- Don’t put the pussy on a pedestal. This isn’t an “insult to women” it’s a piece of prescient advice that steers men away from some seriously creepy behavioural patterns – think about how it looks from the other side for a second - You meet a girl that wants to tell you you’re perfect, that nothing is ever your fault, that she wants to hear all your problems and goes out of her way to denigrate your “enemies” and exes, and she barely even knows you!
Rather than me make this post anymore over-long, let me direct you to our very own EC u/Woujo who is great at giving advice on women.
Acquiring Goals
It’s never been a secret to me that guys who are used to living on the periphery want to alter their lives and angle themselves into a position of power, whether that’s power to turn around and say ‘No’ to the type of women who’ve rejected them and treated them poorly in the past but have come sniffing around now he’s on the rise, or the power to blaze your own trail and lead a great life – it’s never going to happen unless you start putting the work in.
Think about what is important to you, craft a plan for how you will get there and start today.
Happiness
You can’t achieve happiness, or ever hope to maintain it to any decent degree, unless you are walking down a path of self-improvement and discovery.
I’ve spoken before about Taoism and Stoicism before, these ideas coupled with lifting, learning Game, getting your income up and increasing your personal freedom and independence mightn’t be guaranteed 100% to make you the happiest man on the planet – but it’s a damn good start.
