For around 10 years, I have read a list of my values as I plan my next work week out. After finding TRP a little over a month ago, I think I"m going to do a little editing, but I have a good foundation. I work in a service area of my company, so some of what I have here is related to working with others and meeting their needs. However, I set the standards of service and implement the plans as the leader of my department. The important thing that I do is set expectations, deadlines, and more importantly, standards. As well, I always state the non-negotiables and have had to tell the top boss, respectfully, that I would not do something he is asking me to do if it crosses one of my non-negotiables.

I may change a few things in this list as the reality of TRP takes a stronger hold, but this list has made me successful in my career. My only problem is that I haven't had as much success at home, but that is turning around now that I've started applying TRP there as well.

I'd love to hear some feedback and thoughts as I look to make a few adjustments.

11.\t Resolve: Never give up, no matter how big the fight.

12.\t Silence: Listen more than you speak (Seek first to understand, then to be understood).

13.\t Humility: Always accept praise and reward without bragging.

14.\t Empathy: Always seek the other person's view point before assuming you know their situation.

15.\t Spiritual: Get to know God better through prayer and bible study.

16.\t Dignity: Never get caught up in other people's anger or strike with anger or spite.
