TL;DR: Never settle.

Over the past few months I've adjusted to the purchase of a new phone, the OnePlus2. Not affiliated in anymore manner, however, I wanted to share the brand's slogan as it's relevant to the RP community. It's been the background wallpaper as a daily reminder.

"Never Settle."

This couldn't be more accurate. As men, it is our job in life to never settle for less than the best version of ourselves. That means not tolerating adverse behaviour from those around you (both friends and family) that hinder your personal growth and development. It means that each day you should be at least 1% than you were yesterday.

You own it to yourself and no one else to be the very best version of you. It's those around you that must earn your respect and effort to benefit in the fruits of your labour, because you must do the same with them.
