Consistently improving yourself is extremely important, looking at yourself objectively and discovering areas where you can improve is one of the core principles of TRP. So, how do you improve yourself? You read. Stop wasting your time playing Overwatch, and go read a book. Non-fiction book. We live in a world filled with technological prowess. There is literally no reason not to be able to learn something new if you want to.

 

You probably have a smartphone near you right now. That little device has access to all of human kind's knowledge combined and you use it to watch porn. You can use that device to learn Russian but you use it to look up cat gifs. Do you see where I am going with this?

 

Figure out the areas of your life that you suck at and then look up books or articles specifically designed to help you get better at them. There will be a lot of garbage out there, but if you filter out the noise you will find some amazing gems.

 

It's through reading that you understand the world better. You get a greater understanding of how certain topics that you are interested in. Reading gives you the ability to learn from other people's experience. You don't need to repeat the same mistakes that they made.

 

You should be thirsty for knowledge. You should be curious about how the world around you works. By reading, I don't mean you have to read a 500-page novel. I mean increasing your knowledge. When a question pops up in your head, look it up. Why does February have 28 days [28 - not 29]? Why does air have more nitrogen than oxygen?

 

Your looks, money and status won't mean shit if you are an ignorant, uncultured person. There is not a single man on this planet who made a name for himself, improved the world we lived in, who was not an avid reader. One of the countless benefits of reading is that it will shape your personality. It will mould your mind from this to this
