Yeah, I see this type of situation as the OP being the BMOG (beta male of the group). The women don't actually have any interest in the guy, they seem him as their kid brother and have maternal love for him.

And that's it right there. It would be like sarging with your mom: Obviously, your mom is going to screw things up for you, because she instinctively wants to see you protected, she doesn't want you to get hurt, etc.

My suggest for the OP: Sarge alone. These friends of yours are going to keep pulling you back to beta. If you want to show a woman your alpha side, you're not going to do it when they're around.

Fuck this hits close to home, a buddy of mine is in a similar situation. All of his LJBF girls are always DYING to hang out with him. The way they call and text him you'd think he had game but sadly this is not the truth. Whenever they hangout they always talk about relationships (mainly about their bfs/ex/flames) and when it comes to him all they say is the whole "You're a great guy, the right girl for you hasn't found you yet!" I've explained to him countless times that they have no interest in you actually getting a girlfriend because it means less time for them. Sure they tell him you need to take chances and go out with different girls, but as you all know or SHOULD know by now is never take what a women says at face value, listen to what they respond to or how they act. I cringe every time I see him check into a place and he is with them.
