No, not all paths are equally valid, you will not reach your true potential just by following your passion and becoming a eco activist. If you did nothing with your life but go to school you have no real passion because you know nothing. So STFU and do a real job, when you're 30 you can make a valid assessment and moving your career into a more autonomous, masterful and stimulating area.

Bartender.

In general I think this is the right idea. I think a lot of the newer guys here have a problem setting priorities (Bettering yourself etc) and skip straight into "I'm an alpha now" mindset just because they're TRP aware.

I would, especially Bukowski, its easy to be weak, reactive and complain. They just got lucky and had the talent to become famous with their complaining.
Hemingway was first a man, that happened to be a writer. I think he would be the first one to shit on the writing majors that live on campus on their parents money into their late 20s.
