Maybe I should call older women "very legal" to fit with them calling 18 year old girls "barely legal."

Older women are going to have EXTREME disdain for you wherever you go, so get used to it. Your husband is probably a guy who these older women never gave the time of day to when they were your age. But maybe he squared himself away, became successful, and now that's why you're attracted to him.

These older women giving you the dirty looks are the same carousel riders who, when they were your age, were busy in college knocking out their list of "bad boy" fantasy fucks, (more tattoo's the better, ohhh he's soooo "hawt"), had their fun, hit the wall, and then tried to "settle down" with a man in their 30's (now that the tattoo'ed band members aren't interested in them anymore).

But they have been ultimately unsuccessful in their escapade, because no older successful man wants to put a ring on and marry the sloppy seconds of a bunch of machismo Alpha "bad boys" who turned these women out and tossed them away like a dirty dish rag. Not to mention, most of them have a couple of bastard children in tow, because they chose to couple sluttiness with irresponsibility and bring these guy's babies into the world fatherless. And no sane man with money and a future is signing up for that job, either.

So in their mind, you are "stealing" an eligible 33 year old guy who should be "rightfully theirs". They see in you the "do over" they wish they could have, but never will. They feel cheated by feminism, but will never admit it. If you wanna have a little fun, when they give you a dirty look, just tilt your head to the side, and shoot them a sweet smile. It'll send em into a fucking RAGE.

probably from older women, not from younger ones. why? cause you are threatening their life insurance.

Yes, the women see you as a threat. You are doing everything right. At 18 your male peers don't have much to offer other than youthful bodies. Financially they are still prisoners to their parents.

They hate you because if all the men in their late 20's exclusively started dating younger the women in their late 20's would have to progressively start dating older and older, and women in their 30's want to find someone their own age, they do want to be dating men in their 50's.

As a women you are doing the right thing. Since you are RP, you are aware that the peak attractiveness for females is 18-27 give or take.

I'm 42. This is awesome. I feel like that little Bee-girl in Blind Melon's "No Rain" video where she finally finds all the other bees dancing as she does. My gf is 16 years my junior and I have to admit that it was tough at first getting used to the idea myself. I was fine banging the 20-23 year olds (I had 4 plates spinning before this one caught my eye). After I stopped giving a fuck everything was boss. I've never noticed bad stares or bad comments from anyone other than my 40 year old ex-wife.

It's a sound theory. A 33 year old man is seen by a 27 year old woman as a gauranteed mate that she doesn't have to compete for owing to the fact that society has shamed him from going after younger, more attractive, women. Then an 18 year old swoops in, disregards the shaming, steals him, and suddenly she realizes not only does she still have to compete for that mate, BUT owing to her advanced age, she's bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I posted this in the thread about differences between dating American women and foreign women:

In foreign countries, relationships where there is a large age gap don't carry as much of a stigma as they do in the US.

It seems in the US that if you're more than a few years apart in age, it is "gross" and inappropriate. Even famous actors get chastised for being with women who are much younger.

In other countries, an age difference of 10 or even 20 years is still somewhat acceptable.

I've dated women who are less than half my age - in foreign countries. (Strangely, I brought one of them back to the US and she met many of my friends who are women who are my age - they all seemed fine with her.)

I'm 18, my boyfriend is 33. We get dirty stares all of the time. Mainly from women. Men just seem to be impressed. My theory is that the women feel that if someone there age can get someone so much younger then who wants them?

Of course they say it's "wrong" because I'm "barely legal" and my boyfriend is a perv. But I feel that reaction is a mask for their insecurities.

My gf is 13 years younger and I've lived through all the haters. It's just sour grapes by the old women, and younger guys feeling threatened. Both have a similar reaction: to treat the relationship as someone being "wrong" and to eliminate their respective encroacher as unworthy. The good news is that after a while people who know you do let it go.

I think there's a couple things going on here:

1) A lot of people assume that all younger women don't know what they're doing, are easily taken advantage of, and will all regret their decisions. It's kind of like when people tell women who say that they don't want kids that they will change their mind when they get older.

2) Yes, some women are threatened, often on a subconscious level. Women put heavy value on things like education, career status, and life experience. They do so much more than men usually do. When some older women see that those things, which are often their biggest asset, don't hold a lot of weight with many men, some of those women get upset. They also project their values on the men, thinking that those men should be paying attention to the things that they value. When they don't they're upset because not only is it working against them, but they feel like it shouldn't be that way.

3) Society overall generally agrees with the types of arguments from the women in my second point. They think that all people should value what I mentioned most. They also think that young girls don't know what they're doing and therefore men going after them must be trying to take advantage of this.
