Hey guys, so NYCC is this weekend and it reminded me to pull out this old article from Return of Kings on how to pick up chicks at conventions, and I feel like some of our geekier Red Pill people here can offer some words of advice in this thread to anyone going.

Now this will probably be the first con I'm going to since taking the pill, so yes I was blue for all the previous ones I've attended and I did the typical geek stuff while being surrounded by a bunch of hot girls. I think comic con is a haven for practicing game because 1. There are hotties everywhere thanks to the popularity of anime and geek stuff and 2. Your competition at this moment consists of the most beta males imaginable. Now I'm kind of a big anime fan, from my lonely blue pill days. Like I have lots of anime figurines, DVDs, I watch anime in its original language with subtitles, that kind of thing.

One thing that is important to understand is to keep your geek knowledge to yourself. "Geek" girls are still women and they still want that alpha and reject disgusting betas. When interacting with a geek girl, it is important to not come off as a geek yourself or the tingles will be killed. Knowing where to catch all five thousand Pokemon is not going to get you laid. Having every exclusive variant cover for the new Spider-Man run is not going to give her the tingles. You need to keep your geek stuff to yourself, this is important.

The article mentions several important things to keep in mind. These hot geek girls are here, dressed like half naked anime characters to get hundreds of beta orbiters in one room together. In order to stand out from them, you need to focus on events where girls hang out, like Lolita booths, and you have to ask for a picture with none of that hoverhand crap and strike up a conversation. A typical beta male would be going to those stupid panels where there's little social interaction and thus waste precious time for game practice.

This kind of situation feels like an ideal scenario for game practice. Trust me, surrounded by betas just boosts your SMV like crazy. I'm part of an anime club at my school and the whole time I'm just surrounded by socially awkward geeks, neckbeards and Sonic the Hedgehog fanboys. I think its easy to game in this environment if you just make yourself stand out.
