During the last week of my training in Fort Benning 2010, my company was able to take a little trip to the Infantry Musuem in Georgia. If you haven't been, you should go! It's pretty fucking amazing with all the exhibits they have there and it's truly something to behold. Anyway, my trip there was made even more amazing because they have a few old school infantry soldiers from the Vietnam, Korean War and WWII that were there. Some worked their, others were visiting. As a student of the game, you bet your fucking socks I talked to each one of them and began picking their brains. This is some of the key things I remember they would collectively tell me which I think many of you fine gentleman of the Red Pill may appreciate.

[AWALT]: I told them how women of the 2010's seemed notorious for cheating on their husbands/boyfriends who served in this day and age and asked them back then if they were any better about not doing such things during their own era, (1930's-1970's). Asking them if women got pregnant by other men and tried to pass of some other man's child as the soldier's, divorce them when they were away from home on deployment or at some duty station, drain their bank account or take all their belongings and leave the soldiers with nothing. Were women of the olden days better than the 2010's in this regard? Guess what the WWII guy said to me?

“The only thing better about women of my time is society didn't accept that sort of behavior. They would be held more accountable for their actions and looked down upon oppose to it being acceptable and getting away with it. That being said, it didn't stop a lot of women from doing what you just asked. What you're seeing now is the same thing all men through out the history of time have seen. Women are women, men are men.”

This was a eye opener for me, no doubt. I often see here on this forum about how women back then were much better than the ones of today. In some regard, they were. You're often a product of the era and society you grew up in. We all know life was different in the 60's, 40's 20's, ect. Life was much harder back then and social norms were far more conservative. Being a cheating whore would often get you black listed and looked down upon. You would be shamed into oblivion and no one would want to marry your unfaithful ass or associate themselves with you. Even when women were held accountable for their actions and would suffer consequences, that wouldn't stop them from doing what they did. All these guys said that women were like that from their time and even before it. Nature is nature, and nature will always come first before the rules of society. The tingles, emotions and hamstering you witness from women today were the exact same as the women of Ancient Rome.

" "[ADVERSITY]: “'A man's got to do what a man's got to do'! It's something all men must adhere to. Whether you were one of those unlucky bastards on Omaha who had to storm a beach against impossible odds, or a man who was born dirt poor who's struggling to survive and support his family, you must over come the adversity that's present in your life, no matter what it is or how difficult it may be. That's what makes a man who he is.”

Another gem of wisdom; coming from a man who not only had a difficult life growing up in poverty during the 1920's and Great Depression of the 1930's, but fought on the front lines of war torn battlefields for several years. He explained to me that men of his time all had something in common: do what you have to do, anything less than that is unacceptable! Life is unforgiving and fucking hard; some of us will always have it worse than others but the bottom line is, keep pushing. Suffer in silence because no one likes a complainer. Women complain about their problems, men address their problems and fix it. Compartmentalize your negative thoughts and feelings and do what must be done. You're the cheerleader and mascot of your own validation, the architect of your own success and failures, the builder of your body and mind. Pressure can either create diamonds, or coal. What do you want be? Embrace the adversity and struggle and cherish it because it will make you stronger in the end! A calm sea has never made a skilled sailor.

[ALPHA]: “Some of the best men I've served with were the one's who you wanted to aspire to be like. They had all the qualities one could be envious of. Intelligent, witty, charming, stoic... but more importantly fearless. They had a look in their eye that would make you not only follow them without question, but more importantly believe in them. They could have the weight of the world on their shoulders and you would never know it. They could be facing any challenge, even death head on and wouldn't bat an eye. They will gladly lead from the front and have others follow behind them. That's the difference between leaders and followers.”

This is a big one. It ties along with the above section 'adversity'. We always talk about, Alpha vs Beta on the red pill but hearing it come from a man who lived in a time where most men were considered alpha's by today's standard offered a perspective I thought was interesting. We all know those guys who are naturally alpha's. The guys who aren't just naturally good looking or physically gifted, but those who had that 'special' aura about them. Alpha's are not a one size shoe fits all, because they come in all different sizes, shapes and appearances. Take Band of Brothers for example. Richard Winters, alpha. The respect his men had for him was unquestionable. His merits of success, ability to lead, (from the front, not back) hard work and intelligence is something that everyone admired and still admired to this day. Ronald Speirs, alpha. Stoic in nature, no nonsense, taciturn, got shit done without question, faced his problems head on, commanded respect with his presence alone, lead from the front... this guy was a bad ass. Who wouldn't want to be like these two?

The traits that alpha men have are all similar, despite the individual temperament, personality and appearance of said individual. Real recognize real. You can look like Leonidas physically, and Paul Walker aesthetically; which of course helps but people can sense whether you're something more of less than what you appear to be. You can act alpha as much as you want, but what's the point of doing so when it's not righteous? It must come from within, not from without. Just because you have money, clothes, expensive toys, titles; that doesn't make you alpha. I've seen many men in the military and civilian world who have all that and act, walk and talk as Beta as fucking possible, no matter how hard they tried to hide it and cover it up. Couldn't earn the TRUE admiration, TRUE respect and TRUE love from others even if they gathered the seven dragonballs and fucking wished for it. Never able to obtain the same three that people are willing to give an alpha man without hesitation. Even if you try and emulate what you see from other people, read or hear... it doesn't mean shit if it doesn't come from within the core of your being. Nobody likes a phony or impostor, not men and especially not women. You're born a male, yes. But it all depends on your choices in life that determines whether people will treat you as a man or treat you as the lesser form of the real thing.
