Should I become a douchebag?

This has got to be a troll, but for fun lets analyze.

This "bro" type guy that folks like to criticize is actually a quality character when you get to know him. If he deems you to be on his team, you will never find a more loyal, dedicated friend than the so-called "douchebag", those alpha dog types are really good to have on one's side. When they are on your team, they are the ones that pull most of the wight. You have to add joining some sort of brotherhood to that list if you really want to be the so called douchebag.

I think if you assume the image of this character without also taking up his substance, you are going to fail spectacularly. The steroids are a stupid idea, tanning is dumb too. Do your squats/bench/deadlifts, go outside and run or swim one or twice a week without a shirt on, Sun and muscle issues handled. Modifying your body in ways you don't like is a bad idea, obviously some girls will like tats and piercings but you are the one that has to live with yourself.

these two labels "douchebag" and "neckbeard" are sides of the same coin, shaming words that girls use in order to get guys to change. "neckbeard" is generally a person with passions that the girl does not understand, she wants to force you to care about the shit she cares about instead of the shit you care about. "douchebag" is a guy with attractive qualities that a girl wants to eliminate so that she can have the dude free of competition, it is a signal of their insecurity, if you are getting called a douchebag then you are definitely getting warmer on finding the sweet spot of all this game stuff.

I think the ideal ratio would be something like 80% douchebag, 20% neckbeard.

Don't try to be anything you're not or don't want to be.

If you like Ed Hardy and tribal tattoos, go ahead and do it. Don't do it because you want to get laid. That's pathetic.

You can obviously be an alpha without all the stuff. Wear what you like, what you think looks good. Become the person you always wanted to be.

Well, I think we can agree that whilst both douchebags and fedora-wearing niceguys are cringeworthy as fuck, only one of them get laid with any regularity... and it's not the guys with the 1930s hats.

I'll chime in regarding the fitness portion. For the love of god don't take steroids right away. Not saying you should never do them, because really that's your choice. If you take them right off the hop you're going to waste a lot of potential gains as you won't really know wtf you're doing. Honestly give it a year/two years (depending on your age) and see how happy you are with the results before you delve into gear.

As for tanning, it's fine just don't overdo it. You want to have a slight tan, not be orange. When you start out just go for a few minutes (<5 mins maybe 2-3X a week) and see how that works for you.

As for the clothing, /r/malefashionadvice is a good starting point, but they can take themselves a little too seriously sometimes.

Prolly a troll but some guys do become douchebags if they are very beta.

Basically becoming a douchebag means your changing yourself for a women and thus placating what she wants.

You dont have to be a douchebag to become alpha, bro.

Secondly don't be a jersey shore "douchebag" TRP isn't about that its about taking care of yourself and being the best person you can be. Being confident is good, being an arrogant asshat is probably not a good thing. Some people here don't understand that. Being Alpha is about being nice, but not taking any shit from people and to have power over yourself and your goals.
