To sum up:
Woman becomes a single mom;
Still tries to get with and hopefully lock down an alpha for 12 years, whilst ignoring all those nice, gentlemen betas around her
Hits the wall
Finds even betas don't want to commit to her anymore, and the quality of men she can attract dropping quickly.
Feels that cold gnawing feeling inside that she fucked up and will be a second class citizen for the rest of her life.

Like i said i cant speak for the women you know. I grew up a spoiled brat and my parents bought me a million dollar home when i turned 18 with a brand new car. I have all my bills paid and have never needed a man like that. Im sure some women become very desperate and men too. I have a ton of guys wanting me to provide for them. And some have gotten violent and done things like steal my car or money. People need to have their needs met and i understand. But i dont need anyone like that to provide for me. I get dick but havent ever needed an alpha man... For what? I have a gun a security cameras. I feel safe walking alone at night. What use would a man like that even be to me? I think men want to put down women and keep them desperate so that they can find meaning in there lives. A lot of men must feel obsolete. Women have jobs, money, and police to keep them safe. I can see how some men feel displaced. We dont need protectors or providers so where does that leave you? Ill tell you-just dont worry about it all. Just go enjoy your life. Go on vacation go to a concert, enjoy your life. You dont need to put other down to lift yourself up.

You sound great for a good time, but not a long time. There are too many risks in having a single mother as an LTR. If you are a single mother because your husband was KIA in Iraq, then you have a strong moral case to make. I didnt make a mistake at all. 2 years of fertility treatment and boy girl twins. Im incredibly lucky. My kids are awesome. My son is a star basketball player my daughter a budding artist and they are just awesome wonderful kind loving confidant people. My daughter wants to be a dentist and they are both in the gifted class. Having kids was always part of the plan. But he wasnt. I dont regret anything. We dont all have to fit your cookie cutter life style.

Wait, what? The father is incredibly important in children's development. Children from single mother households often have serious issues.
But I have no control over how much effort he puts in as a father. Its the reason i asked him to leave. Hes a cool person i guess but we didnt sleep in the same bedroom and he didnt ever help with anything. He became another child for me to care for so I asked him to leave. Since then he takes them to movies or out for pizza but then sends them back home. Hes never gone to a dr visit or a parent teacher confrence. Hes not real interested in them sometimes he forgets about them completely and we dont here from him for a couple weeks or months. That is beyond my control. That being said I really wanted kids. And it's cool of him to have been a part of that for me. I had really hoped to have an awesome family life full of camping trips and awesome adventures. But things just fell apart at somepoint very long ago. I didnt die. I moved onas people do when a relationship ends. Its odd for me for people to expect the father to be a problem. I guess because i dont really even know who he is as a person anymore even though we were together for 13 years.

Op, these dudes can't actually land women with self respect like you, that's why this whole sub exists. Its the carrot on the stick, it they don't realize a woman with life experience and a personality wouldn't give them the time of day after being stuck in a room for 20 minutes with them.
I watched my guy friends go through all this bullshit at about 22. They got girls by being assholes to them but their true selves shined through at about 4 months in and the girls realized that they were more fake than a louie vutton knock off. Then they sat around and moped for the next six months and thought all girls were bitches and hated the world. They just should have found a friend they enjoyed being around and worked on being a good person. They would have turned into better men.
Eventually most of these guys will realize cocky confidence is transparent and so much different than genuine confidence as a person. person. Eventually the stupid frat alpha guy act gets old. Luckily my guy friends have seemed to move past this asshole phase and almost all of them have girlfriends that are totally rad.
