I personally am an soft atheist who found TRP to agree with evolutionary biology.

If you look at most mammals, females typically look for the "best" male while males look at all "acceptable" females. This largely leads to the situation of harems. 20-40% of the males are doing nearly all the mating.

Humans aren't much different in our desires. Women all want the "best" men. Men are willing to sleep with any "acceptable" female. I'm sure you've observed this yourself.

As higher functioning primates evolved, the theory goes that instead of running off after mating, you see the males stick around because it ensured the survival of their offspring.

Humans more than likely fit into this category and most anthropologists believe early humans (until about 4-5000 years ago) lived in largely tribal polygamous societies. DNA studies are showing that not a whole lot of men passed on their genes (Genghis Khan might be part of the reason). The "alpha" men of this time had harems of women. Women probably largely were ok with this as they were selecting who to have children with.

The problem though, was too many Betas running around eventually cause problems. They don't have to work very hard to live. It's pretty easy for them to gang up on the Alphas when given a chance. They caused all types of social problems.

Enter early monogamous/polygamous systems illustrated in the Bible. The "elite" were still allowed to have harems, but the high betas could "earn" a wife by working hard enough. This system worked great at getting betas to settle down and work their butts off. Social stability and productivity increased. The government/religions of the day started stressing monogamy more and more in order to create more productive men.

Several thousand years later we enter the classical age. Monogamy is the norm. It's largely expected these days that if a man is a good "provider" he would get a wife because of monogamy. Every man works his butt off to provide for his family.

Now enter the modern age and feminism. It now teaches women that they don't have to "settle" for any man, and that they don't need to trade their sex for a relationship. Sex is now "fun" and good for experimenting with (I really enjoy this myself). The problem arises when the social contract the beta "providers" had been promised (work hard an you'll get a wife) doesn't work any longer.

Feminization of women has allowed a form of "new polygamy" if you will. Women will sleep with whomever they choose when they feel like it. They still almost always go for the "best" men. We have returned to our biological urges. The circle is complete!

Now men who figure out how to appear or be in that top 20-40% of men have all types of options for sex. This is what TRP is trying to understand. What do women biologically and psychologically truly desire. TRP isn't a moral code about what to do when you understand it.

Here's the hard part women have yet to understand. Women still have a much stronger biological drive to have children than men. Today women are taught to have fun and play the field before settling down. When they do finally decide to settle down, they are usually at the age of very quickly declining fertility and the men they desire (the best ones) have many more options to date younger, more fertile, and probably "hotter" women.

So a woman either has to "settle" for standard monogamy with a man who is less than her ideal, or she has to "share" an alpha. If she's really lucky, she can find a good beta provider but still have sex on the sly with an alpha.

But today's alpha has too many options to settle. In the near past, he had to trade a relationship for sex. But today, sex is easy to get for alpha men. Since our society has codified the beta support requirements to every man, the risk for him to marry is too high. Most alpha men today are very reluctant to settle down.

So this is why you see so many single mothers. They thought they could tie down that alpha, but didn't. As for the Betas, yes they should be crapping their pants (and are if you look at the white night/forever alone whining) that we are returning to a "polygamous" mating system. They will be out in the cold.

Maybe this has been covered somewhere else, but I'm wondering something. How exactly can you blame single mothers for creating rapists, murders, misogynists, and bad men? For all I know it IS their fault (I don't think everyone is fit to be a parent, personally), but if men are biologically programmed to spread their seed, wouldn't that mean some women HAVE to be single mothers?

Not all of us believe that single mothers are creating all the bad men. I personally believe lack of a strong male influence is creating all the bad men. Children who are raised without fathers are at an extreme disadvantage.

I suppose some women have to be single mothers. It's no different than how some people have to be celibate because they can't attract someone. Life isn't fair. The inevitable single mothers chose a man to procreate with who had no intention of raising a family. So, do you blame the man for being that way? Do you blame the woman for choosing to have a child with a man, by her standards, considered a bad father?

I think placing blame on an entire gender is ignorant, it should be on a case by case basis. Just recognize which gender is getting blamed for it, its the fathers. Look how fathers are portrayed, its almost never positive. Next time you're watching commercials look for it.

I think you've been grossly misinformed about what this sub is about. Perhaps you picked that bit of information up from an SRS-affiliated thread?

TRP is just about finding what works for successfully courting women, cutting through the PC bullshit.
