TL;DR: Short attention span huh? I spaced almost every sentence. Don't worry.

The fundamental difference between modernism and postmodernism is that modernist thinking is about the search of an abstract truth of life while postmodernist thinkers believe that there is no universal truth, abstract or otherwise.

Wanting their life to mean something. One wants their lives to be cinematic,

Wanting ones life to be capitalized.

The individual is now a product. Sold and distributed by in media.

People find their sense of belonging, sense of security in their products.

Tradition is now a product as well.

Look at Reddit, full of mini tribes, called "sub-reddits"

Parts of our humanity are becoming products.

Virtue signaling is today's way of life. Everyone trying to prove they are human. prove their humanity.

Ideas have people, so then brands shall as well. That's how you get a steady user base.

Replace religious with the words: followers, and loyal customers.

Your customers must believe in your product.

I might of just called ideology and religion a brand.

"Don't forget to buy Jesus's merch called 'The New Testament'."

Culture is on the market.

Hence why brands and creators try to market themselves with values. EX: Apple's "Think Different"

They want you to self-identify with their brand.

Kurt Cobain ( a musician & counter culture). His own suicide became a product to sell. His suicide-note was on t-shirts and on phone cases. His "fans" were trying to prove themselves counter culture.

Kurt Cobain was the ultimate slave to the market. Every part of him, his identity a product to sell.

Also people dying their hair and getting tattoos to establish individuality.

The individual is dying

The individual.... is a product being sold to death.

"Whats the best way to market our product? Sell them the belief of needing it in the first place."

Media is the best product ever invented. It began in the 1920's. In the 21st century people believe they need it. Subconsciously they are actually addicted to it. Also everyone has it. It's become the global "Tribe". If one deletes their social media they might feel severe FOMO. Feeling rejected from the tribe.

Thus the cult of media grows engulfing its members. Like a pig, in a cage, on antibiotics. They are addicted to their devices.

Sapping their time & attention.

JUST LIKE A CHICK.

Hence the increase in neuroticism among youth.

neurotic behavior is an automatic, unconscious effort to manage deep anxiety

We live in an age of anxiety & insecurity. In the post-modernist society.

In the absence of god.

The market has become our religion.

It's what we base our decisions on, our jobs and our lives. Money is our savior. For it is how we survive

We do not want to end up without it.

it completes us.

Society's oneits is the market.
