I met one of you newbies yesterday. We didn't exchange names, talk about redpill or even say hi despite you "testing" 5 different ways of trying to get my friends and I's attention. But one of you reading this now did in fact run into me. I knew it was one of you 5 minutes after sitting down next to you.
It wasn't how you talked, what your said, how you said it.
It wasn't you general attractiveness, your complete lack of sense of style or overall hygiene
It wasn't you mannerism, your posture, physique(or lack there of) or anything like that.
It wasn't anything that you have debated until your fingertips are bleeding in the comment sections of various posts for the 500th time. None of that had ANYTHING to do with why I, my friends, the 2 bartenders, or the rest of the counter top in general chose NOT engage with you in anyway.
The SOLE reason everyone shunned you like a leper was, it was Saturday afternoon and we did not want to be part of your life experiment. You had things you wanted to "test" but you were so focused on your "testing" you completely failed to experience the results.
You tried to start at least 15 conversations with the SAME bartender who was obviously just being nice while trying to get her work done before she had a chance to even answer. You were looking for a good "opener" but you were just rapidly jumping from topic to topic like a frantic insane person. Not a care in the world to what her response was, you weren't starting a conversation, you were talking at her and taking mental notes.
It was painfully obvious you were listening in to the conversation I was having with my friends and then loudly "providing answers" to our in group questions to the same bartender while hoping we would engage you.
You tried to "make us look over at you" by starting this routine where you would drop something loudly pick it up, and you did this 5 times in a row with different objects to see which would work best next time. No one drops their menu, phone, wallet, glasses, and menu again in the span of 2 minutes.
Life and socialization isn't an experiment, it is an experience. You can and should experiment with different things but if you aren't absorbing the experiences that come from those experiments and your just purely experimenting and noting results your going to have a very hard time.
To the young man that I met yesterday, I'll toss you a life line. The best conversation starter is a whatever variation of "Hi" you like. Then just be open to experiencing the conversation as it grows, drop the lines, the numbers, and the gimmicks and just open yourself experiencing life rather then experimenting with it.
