I was watching this highly interesting documentary tonight about the intelligence of lions and spotted hyenas. They showed a very interesting part with the lions where they tested the response of blond vs black-maned lions to a strange lion (in this case they used a stuffed model). As anyone interested in lion biology knows, black-maned lions tend to have higher testosterone, and lionesses (perhaps unsurprisingly) prefer males with darker manes.

The clip strongly reminded me of the Red Pill and its tenets. In the clip below, we see the difference between a timid male lion and an aggressive male lion, and how their respective mate responds accordingly. See link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htqUFDGR5mE#t=20m38s

While lions and humans are obviously quite different, the parallels are there - strong males who don't allow fear to phase them are dominant and sexually preferred by females, females look to the male's behavior to take their cue on how to act, etc.

The key lesson to be taken away here, I think, is for us to learn how to be men who are comfortable with and embrace their masculinity, who can deal with a situation as it comes up, and so on. Our human nature, evolved in the African savanna over millions of years like the lion, has shaped our sexuality and how we court one another. Be the men we are meant to be.
