If Rodgers had 3 black roommates and he stabbed them to death before going on a shooting spree, the media would portray it as a hate crime for sure. Instead, he stabbed 3 Asian males to death. I can imagine editors at the news stations thinking, "How the fuck can we make an interesting story about 3 dead Asian guys... let's just play the feminism angle instead".

It is because his rant was specifically directed against women as a whole, and a very specific subset of men. "Bad Boy Hate" as a phenomen doesn't sell as good as "misogyny".

Feminists everyone screamed toxic masculinity when he shot those people. However, if you look at how he tried to attract women, you will notice he was very feminized. He tried to look good by dressing well, having a nice car, etc. He did not approach women, ever (according to feminist websites). He just sat around and got angry when women did not talk to him.

Masculinity does not entail entitlement, femininity does. This is exactly how a woman would try to pick up guys, dress well and try to look good, wait for guys to come. The problem was not that he was too masculine, the problem was that he was too feminine.

Lot of special interest groups trying to push their own agenda when a tragedy like this happens. Anti Gun groups, anti video game people, radical feminists and mental health groups. Each of these groups have something to gain by blaming abc for xyz. The kid was crazy and people who knew him knew it. Same as the other male killers who went on a rampage.
