I was weak, and wanted to be strong. I raised my voice and shouted, "How can I become stronger than I am?" And the masses shouted back at me, "Work! Exercise your muscles! Lift heavy things, and you will become strong through your own efforts!" And it was as they said.

I knew nothing of important matters, and I felt foolish. I raised my voice again, and shouted "How can I become more knowledgeable about matters?" And the masses answered me, "Read! Discuss! Learn! Through your studies you will become more knowledgeable." And it was so.

I was poor and possessed nothing, and I wanted to improve my situation. I asked the masses, "How may I begin to earn an income that will sustain me?" And the masses answered back, "Expand your abilities through education and experience! Become socially adept in the workplace, and learn to recognize opportunities! This is the path to success." And this too was as they said it would be.

And I looked at myself and saw that I was now strong, and knowledgeable, and financially successful, all through my own efforts. But I was alone. So I called out to the masses, "I am lonely! How may I find a woman to be my companion? Shall I learn Game, and explore Sexual Strategy, and study the dynamics that have existed between the sexes throughout the ages? Shall I once again focus my own efforts on the outcome I desire?"

And the masses answered me sternly: "Do nothing. Just be yourself. It will happen when the time is right."
