I just finished reading this on the sidebar and plan on going through it a second time, I hope this post sparks some meaningful conversations from us who've been able to dissect this book much better than I have, as I'm sure this one thing has changed the way you've thought about everything.
Nothing has made me question so many beliefs from my childhood from growing up with a single mother to how I think about God
I'll preface this by saying I could have missed things from being blown away by the audacity and honesty of this woman, but what is the solution here for a guy who doesn't despise women? You read and get all this knowledge just to be left with a depressing vision of current things and things to come since this was written in 1971. I'm left with insight but entirely too many questions from a book that revealed so much about the nature of women and our place in, apparently, their world.
The level of organization and meticulous planning borders on cruelty, it's even evolved to a point where its second nature to women. I can't see man is manipulated who works for a wife who gives up that pussy, takes care of house and kids and is a compliment to him as a man, but the author speaks on it as a negative.
But I can see the aspect of man needing to be enslaved by something. Case in point one of my uncles who had been in jail since he was 20 just got out, now being 40ish, and the first thing he did was look for a wife. Took him a month. He started calling her this before any plans to set dates started.
I could go on for a while, but to keep this short I hope more will be talked about as the thread opens
