Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll address all that in the next revision.

I completely agree the RP Sidebar book would be better with all off-line material included in it. I also agree it would be perfect if you didn't need to go online to use it. Finally, I share your view that linking to sites limits how useful it is.

I have reached out to some of the off-site writers for their permission to include their writing in this book. I'm hoping they'll give their blessing. I'll let you know what I hear.

What's the difference between the RP Handbook and the Sidebar Dump? I was under the impression that they were the same thing.

The RP Handbook has dozens of articles, around 115,000 words (so far). It includes articles not on the sidebar. All the content in the RP Handbook is by users on this sub, with other resources, etc. If you want a dive deep into the RP, the handbook is the way to go.

The RP Sidebar is strictly only the stuff in sidebar. So, it's much smaller. Also, there's a lot of essential sidebar material created by writers not on the sub. So, it's different in that it includes off-site articles (or links) to stuff by Rollo, M3, etc.

I assembled it mostly for preservation, given what's happen in the past week. Also, for all those times we say to new people to "read the sidebar" to get started, we can just hand them the RP Sidebar e-book. It's a quick, easily-packaged way to get new people on board without them being lost in the RP Handbook which is 10x the size.

Anyway, that was the idea behind it.

Go for it! I certainly don't mind.

The only suggestion I'd make is that the torrent is labeled in some way to note the edition number - I hope to publish more revisions in the future, and labelling it would help people understand what they're downloading more clearly. Just my first thought - I have no experience seeding myself.

Hey this is neat. Now I can load this on my nook simple reader and see what you guys are all about. Always been curious as to what drives you dudes to behave differently compared to regular society.
