These are my own personal musings. I am very open to criticism or devil's advocates. I believe very much in socratic dialogue to reach a truth. I am new here, and I'm trying to make sense of this my relation to TRP.

What is the fundamental truth of TRP? To me, it's that a lot of perception of women, perpetuated by women themselves, is grossly inaccurate, downright false, or total fucking lies. The playing field of dating and marriage has changed in the last 50 years more so than it ever has before.

I would describe it generally as a loss of values. In general, people started valuing themselves and their own shallow egotism over substantive pursuits. In short, we (western society) value glamour over substance. Look at celebrity culture. Look at the thousands of magazines about sucking a better cock, TV shows about marrying a millionaire beta douchebag, what Kim K's stool sample looked like this morning.

Couple this with the rise of feminism, which has drastically changed a woman's outlook on her own goals and pursuits. They are self-important. However, along the way, many of them lost sight of what makes people good. Now we are dealing with what's left.

What would make a woman good today? I've seen it touched on here many times. Having a pursuit outside of the cock carousel in your 20's. Knowing one's way around many common functions in life: laundry, a toolbox, gardening, the importance of good hygiene, literature, changing a tire, budgeting, grocery shopping. Simple shit, really. But instead we see hamstering around almost every level of this: My dad always did that for me, I shouldn't have to do that I'm a girl, Why are you just enforcing gender roles, I shouldn't have to do that, etc. NAGALT but goddamn if I haven't seen more than my fair share.

Yet here I am, 28 years old, and I can take care of myself readily. I can cook a fantastic meal, balance a budget, change a tire, train a dog, haggle, open a bank account. I find that my female counterparts are few and far between, and all I do is the easy stuff. I'm not painting a masterpiece, composing a symphony, or charting the surface of the moon. I'm just a regular fucking guy. That's the truth of TRP.

So where does that leave us? That's what I believe this community is about. There are nearly infinite directions to take this knowledge. But for me, I'm still in the learning stage. I am still coming to grips with the fact that "woman complain about getting used for sex when all they have to offer is sex" actually has some truth to it.

A big answer for this community has been to reclaim your manhood. Be the leader, be the decision maker, be the one who can choose, see through a woman's games and don't submit to their shit-tests. The consequences of this, for the most part, has been that woman fall in line. They want a leader. They want a man. They want to be fucked good and called a whore in bed, while still being treated with dignity out of it. Sometimes they want a leader even when they have a man at home. Sometimes they only want a leader for a night, or a weekend.

Sometimes this behavior can cause a gleam in a woman's eye that is primitive, and that's where the truth lies. Underneath all the hamstering, under all the false pretense and misguided perspective, under ALL of the feminist agenda and under the shadow of a lopsided divorce rate, that gleam is still there when you throw her over your shoulder and carry her into the bedroom, or take her right there on the kitchen floor.

However, there is a dark side to this. There are men who have been abused in their past, who were once pure and innocent, believing that what a woman said is what she truly meant(hah). And they were burned. Maybe because they were too afraid of losing that woman. Maybe because she was constantly gave him shit-tests that he failed, maybe because he didn't make her feel like a woman as much as the nearest guy with confidence. Maybe because they were young and didn't have the experience in life to be a man and take the lead. This has turned the men bitter, turned them resentful. And now they have the power of the truth of RP, which makes them powerful. I am hoping the following will allow them to exercise caution when dealing with other people.

I have been through some of this before. It reminds me very much of the attitude of BDSM. Being a dominant. Tying a woman up, trussing her, spanking her, calling her a whore, telling her that she did wrong and needs to be punished, fucking her relentlessly, and knowing the whole time there is nothing wrong with this behavior. I have spent much time delving into this mindset. In the end, this person in front of us tied up and helpless trusts us completely. She has to. She is a person, too. Maybe some fucked up shit happened to her and that's why she loves getting whipped, or maybe it's just what she likes, but she's a person as well as us. This is where the razor sharp line of being a man and having power comes into play.

Being a Dom is a great responsibility. It requires grace, a deft attitude, and emotional fortitude. To gain a woman's trust and then dig her deepest desires (and sometimes fears) from her psyche and use them in a way that gives her pleasure takes tact. Some may say "who's really in charge here, the submissive, or the dominant?" That's another post entirely, and the point at which I plug /r/bdsmcommunity. I could write a book one what I think it takes to be a good dom, but instead I will leave that to you. If you're interested, there are a lot of different perspectives, but I think with minimal digging you'll see the parallel between that and TRP, especially concerning "frame," "pride in one's pursuits and ones self" and many other things. I would also plug a now-defunct blog Discerning Dom.

But at the bottom of it all, I believe there is a spot for me in TRP, in BDSM, that includes an outlook on other people with honor and integrity. I believe we can get what we want without shitting on others. And that's where true grace lies. We have power and efficacy to cut the wheat from the chaff. That 20 something slut who loves getting drinks bought for her, and promises to drink my cum if I make her feel pretty for one night? Cut from my existence. That's pathetic, and sad, and I have the power to make the decision whether or not to interact with that. It's got no place in my world.

The problem is it's a very hard life. It can be lonely. It's easy to be a shitty person. To prop up your esteem at the chagrin of another's. To fuck the partyslut for one night and smugly justify it as "the way of things." I know, I've been there. To be callous, to be jaded, to be holier than thou about TRP or about sex and the psychological truths they contain. That's the easy way out. Eventually, it just as unfulfilling as being a sad 30-something pale chubby dickhead married to woman who doesn't love him because he's soft, weak, and feeble.

Maybe I'm a white knight, maybe I'm an idealist. Maybe this is all outside the true scope of TRP. But it's my perspective considering this fantastic truth about woman and man and the power of psychology and sex in today's world. This is just the simple musings of a guy with far too much interest in philosophy, psychology, and the perversity of fucking women.

EDIT - I haven't seen any dialogue relating to BDSM. Any dominants with experience here want to chime in? Does anyone see any parallels? Am I way fucking off target?

EDIT 2 - I left out the submissives, too. Any submissive men or women want to chime in? Can you be a submissive man and still believe in TRP? Women, does your experience with dominant men line up?
