As a western guy coming to China, you'll probably be positively surprised by the lack of fatties, more feminine behavior and your instant high SMV, but make no mistake, TRP applies here as well.

Chinese girls are expected to marry before they're 30 and her family will happily put up with her indefinitely if she's from a middle class family. Independence from family is not valued at all.

As marriage is expected and her beta out is almost guaranteed (mostly average income earner, with low status, but had an apartment gifted to him by his parents) due to families normally being able to find some sucker for an arranged marriage, she'll aim to find a high status / high income earning guy during her 20s (less alpha fucks as promiscuity is frowned upon and Chinese girls tend to be on the lowest end of sexual desire in the racial spectrum).

Alpha in China basically means money and / or status (some second generation rich kids only have money but no social status beyond that), as confidence tends to come along with either, but ripped stud chad thundercock alphas that work average income jobs but still get laid a lot like in western countries don't really exist as only a tiny amount of guys work out and no girl goes for handsome but broke guys in a country where most people just earn enough to get by.

Basically the only guys getting alpha fucks in China in my experience are very high income earners, guys with rich parents or white foreigners.

Jobs don't tend to pay well in China (hard to make more than 1k USD a month as an employee if you don't work really hard or know the right people), so girls from middle class families that own a reasonably nice apartment where she'll have free room and board, often work part time or not at all and emulate an upper class lifestyle with whatever money they have / gifts from beta orbiters (latest iphone, eating at fancy restaurants, dressed well) in the hope that this will be enough to attract an alpha.

Once she meets one (which includes you - the above average earning foreigner), she'll use all tricks in the book to get you to commit, by cunning lies and half truths and rawdogging attempts to make you knock her up and make it appear that she's less of a lazy mooch than she actually is.

Once the guy commits (usually sex is implied commitment, although foreigners in China don't tend to play by that rule) she'll pop out the obligatory kid, as expected by her family and go into full on mooch mode, trying to wring out whatever status showing trinket she can get out of her husband (expensive car, LV bags etc.) via shit tests and sajiao (acting like a pouty spoiled kid), as status is everything in China.

The guy usually stops having sex with his wife at that point, gets a mistress if he is wealthy or visits hookers if he isn't.

Divorce is less common in China, as it's socially not acceptable, the woman is not likely to find another husband beyond 30 and divorce rape doesn't exist anymore due to recent changes in law caused by predatory women. Most guy's don't have the money to buy an apartment, but it's a prerequisite for marriage, so his parents will transfer one to him - likely a major financial asset to them, representing a large part of their savings and the government noticed that it could seriously harm the societies stability if divorce rape was further enabled.

Alpha widows exist too among the white guy loving party girls, that failed to make high status foreigners commit, earn high incomes and just can't imagine settling for an average Chinese guy.

I've lived in China on and off for about 5-6 years now - feel free to ask me anything, as this post probably doesn't cover nearly enough. Also keep in mind that this is first and to some extend second tier city stuff - less developed parts of China are obviously more traditional.
