I'm a f/22. I've been lurking this sub for a while now and I have a few questions. I've been on r/redpillwomen but I guess I'd rather have a male perspective on this. I'm a math/philosophy double major, I'm in a great relationship with a great guy, and I suppose that I'm (so I've deduced) at least above average looking. At some point I want to have a family, but I'm also very career-minded. I guess my question is what's the point in living if my only real goal in life is to have and take care of kids? I want to have my own business too (I'm a chef/baker) but I don't want to sacrifice family to start my own business. I'm also very against making somebody feel like they have to support me financially because I can't physically work because I have children... There's this cognitive dissonance inside my head constantly that I can't be an entrepreneur without sacrificing my future kids' well being and I can't be a good parent without sacrificing my own dreams of being successful. I'm graduating in a year and a half so I'll be almost 24 when I do. I know that I'll need to work at least for 4-5 years to be financially stable enough to feel like I can support myself and a kid. I don't expect anybody to support me if let's say I end up having to be a single parent. I mean, what am I even doing? Is there even a way to be successful at a business while being a good wife and mother? It's so hard to imagine because I come from an immigrant family (former Soviet Union) where my mother worked long hours and my father did too. My brother is kind of a shitty individual (doesn't have career aspirations, skills, etc and he's 26). I don't want my kids to turn out like him. I want my kids to be successful and happy and emotionally and psychologically stable (not like me - have been on antidepressants before but weened myself off). I just want to be happy and have happy kids and a happy husband (hopefully my current bf). I want to be financially independent and have a career I enjoy. Is this even possible? And if it isn't, then what is the point? My bf is a great provider (he has a great job and is very well off) but I don't want him to feel like he needs to support me. It makes me feel guilty everytime we go out and he knows that I can't afford to pay equally. I don't want to be a burden (he had never made it seem like I am) but he insists on doing fun things that can cost a pretty penny. He gets upset when I refuse but I could never fully accept not being able to afford things.

This has turned into a ramble. I apologize.

TLDR: how can I be a great wife, wonderful mother, and a financially successful business owner at the same time? It seems like it's impossible... Is there even a point to life?
