I’ve had this idea for a long time, and now it’s time to share it with you guys. Before I start i feel I must inform you that I’m not an expert, I’m no evolutionary scientist of any sort, I’m just a guy realizing RP truths all around me ever since I found this sub. This post is mostly about demolishing BP fantasies.

Where does hypergamy come from? I think we can all agree that it didn’t just drop from the sky into womens heads, it must serve a purpose. Imagine a world without hypergamy, where women matched up with their equal on the 1 – 10 scale, had children and we all lived happily ever after, sounds nice? Maybe, peaceful for sure, but also completely unrealistic, it would be impossible for such a society to even exist.

Why? Because natural selection would come to a halt, we would be preserving the entire gene pool, there would be no evolution, and it makes no sense because if a species was to ever reach this point it would need evolution in the first place.

What does this have to do with hypergamy? A whole lot, I think it’s interesting because it means that hypergamy is one of the main driving forces (at least the female force) behind natural selection. So if hypergamy is the female force, the male force is the opposite, to spread your genes far and wide, to fuck as many fertile young women as you are humanly capable of, seeing how we men think about sex all the time, it sounds about right.

If you ever wondered why women appear so irrational this is the answer. It would mean hypergamy is a way stronger drive in women than the simple selfish preference it might look like at first glance (“I want the best I can get and nothing less!”). It would mean hypergamy is just as deeply ingrained in their brains as the impulse to fuck fertile women and fight off challengers is ingrained in ours. If that is the case, no wonder women appear irrational and crazy to us. For example, if a beta male dies childless, women don’t give a fuck because to them, betas are meant to die childless, they’ve watched beta males die childless while they were fucking alphas since the dawn of time.

But what about womens tendency to be deceitful and machiavellian? It came naturally, as the RP antibiotic nuke states; women evolved these traits because they had to learn to use men as tools instead of opposing them in a physical conflict. It makes sense for women to start building their own set of skills to make up for the fact that men are bigger and stronger. Deception, Machiavellianism, manipulation, all these things are looked upon as feminine traits, and it makes perfect sense, because they were invented by females as a means to counter measure the power balance between men and women.

But why is it like this, why is there even a power balance between males and females? Why can’t we live in harmony? Hell, why did we even split into two sexes in the first place?

Because there has to be a struggle, there must always be a fight, males and females can’t just cooperate, they must also work against one another to further optimize natural selection. Natural selection has forced male and female into a state of constant disagreement, to make sure we never stop, because if we ever reach that point of BP Disney fantasy land of perfect harmony, we will cease to evolve. And if a species ceases to evolve, it dies. Therefore harmony will never happen, because it would kill us. (Edit: Not that it would literally kill us in todays age, but that we're wired to fear it would kill us)

I’m sorry the bottom line isn’t a deep positive motivational message, because I don’t see a happy ending here. At the end of the day you can’t criticize women for hypergamy, because they're just holding up their end of the deal, it's their job as female to be hypergamous, and criticizing them for it is like criticizing human nature and therefore yourself. Hypergamy and the deceptive and Machiavellian tools women employ to achieve it is not inherently bad from a moralistic point of view, it’s only bad from your perspective because you’re the deceived party, but it’s not her fault you fell for it, it’s yours. Sure, that’s not fair, but nature never cared about fair.

TL;DR nature doesn’t give a fuck about you, male and female were never meant to live in harmony because then it would be no point in having two sexes in the first place, also harmony would be the end of natural selection. Male and female were meant to both work together, but also to be in constant conflict.
