This is pretty solid. One of the emails he read really struck a few chords from the past. The guy thinks he's doing all the right things--lists everything he should and shouldn't be doing, he knows what's right on a surface level--but he can't dissociate himself from the situation, look at it objectively, and read her actions and what they mean. Everything he does is in the frame of attachment and neediness, which, even if you do recognize, it'll still try to subvert you. It's easy to be jaded in the moment; you've got to have experienced it before so that it slaps you in the face or get outside help to see it.

this guy's pretty good. it's kind of like if TRP went really far out of its way to not be offensive.
