Good job man, she will respect you a lot more if you identify her shit tests and shut them down. It really is a constant power struggle. I dont think the Gf/Wife/SO even know they are doing it, its just automatic for them to want to make you feel bad about yourself, or that you have affronted them in some way or another.

Not married but my go-to response for girls who say that sort of thing is "u know I'm always down for x"

So if she's like hey I wanna talk try to u and ur ignoring me I just look up, smile, and say u know I'm always down to tty about w/e and keep smiling.

Another example let's say she says I see u looking at them girls over there - I respond - u know I'm always down to oggle and drool over strangers. It's a&a man.

Notes on shit tests (copy & paste from a post I made to /r/relationships) :

She's acting up because she wants to see if you can handle her. She wants your attention.

In the industry, we call this a shit test and it's something women pull on men they like, so take comfort in the fact that she wouldn't do this to someone she didn't like. It's also completely subconscious and she can't help doing it.

A shit test is a small pocket of illogical drama-ridden, emotion-driven histrionic conversation or point of conflict that she has deliberately created to see what kind of man you are. The clue is in the name - it's a test that she wants you to pass. If you pass she will find you more attractive. If you fail she will find you less attractive. To pass the test you need to display to her that you cannot be lead by her and you are the leader in the relationship. You need to display that you cannot be sucked into her reality bubble.

A common and easy play is to agree and amplify with whatever she's testing you on. If you can remain playful and deflect what she's throwing at your with comedy, that would work terrifically. A side note: have fun with it, being playful is an attraction trigger in women. Give them nicknames that suit the situation and mock her in a playful way.

"Okay grumpy." "Alright, my attention-seeking princess" "Poppet not been told she's pretty recently?" Get creative.

Remember, this test is her wanting you to display that you don't need her but are choosing to be with her.
