Poetry happened. The only way poetry works is if it's sung. Also, I'm sure he fucked up in other ways he isn't telling. He probably doesn't even know he fucked up. My bet is he became too available. who recites a damn poem on a first date or ever for that matter? You also mentioned they txtd a lot. Texts should be reserved for arranging dates, otherwise you give her attention and she gives nothing in return. Long story short: she lost her tingles. In her mind your friend is no better than her ex, ie: beta.

Nothing happened that is where your friend went wrong.

I have cold approached over 1000 girls these past 7 months and have a lot of learning experience both good and bad.

Here is where your friend fucked up.

He put her on a pedestal and invested way to much into her in a very short amount of time.

He cold approached a girl and was able to get an insta-date with her which is great but then he should have known the moment she said that she just got out of a recent break up not to take her seriously and expect anything from her. She is still emotional thus nothing she does will be rational from a males perspective.

What was the point of having an insta-date with her if he didn't escalate and kiss her the first day he met her. He wasted time and a big potential lay for that day. A lot of girls are in the heat of the moment and once you let that opportunity pass the odds of it coming back are slim.

To make things worse he waits till the next date to kiss her and then starts reciting some poem like a little bitch. Why is he trying to be romantic with a girl who just had a breakup.

Then to finalize him bringing his value down he kept texting with her and chatting with her rather than doing more productive things thus putting her on a pedestal and giving her all this attention that she did not deserve.

She then eats up all this validation that he was giving her and then decides she is bored with him and has to make up an excuse to cut him off.

Thus she lies about the whole going to another city as a reason to slow down contact and finally cut him off completely.

She played your friend well and fucked with his head a little because now he is going to be wondering what went wrong for a while and is going to want answers from her.

My best advice for him is to delete all her info and move on to another chick as quickly as possible.

Remember "Always be Replacing not Chasing".

And this should be to hard for him since you said he was able to cold approach some average chick so he should be able to cold approach another.

Part of me wants to say it was all actually a monumental shit test. She seemed high enough in interest that the poetry likely wouldn't have done all that much. She wanted to see what he would do if she was gone completely. I have one doing it to me right now and I can just smell the attempted emotional manipulation all over it. So I'm ignoring the fuck out of her until she stops being a child.

He should have just left her to it for the week. I'll bet he blew up her phone when he found the number blocked, which is what actually destroyed his chances. He wouldn't tell you that though because he knows you'd just look at him like a giant mangina.

Too invested. You can get away with saying anything if the vibe is right, but I'm guessing he invested too heavily. Poetry being one of the indicators.

You can get away with poetry, playing an instrument, and other showy things, without it being high investment. The energy has to be right. It has to be done with a "we both already know we're going to fuck, I'm clearly just playing around: I'd never really do this for a girl" vibe.

The poetry part is actually quite amusing to me.

I've stolen a girl before because she was "literary" and we wrote a sort of back and forth poem/story together about how we were "so in love" and that "we couldn't be together" because she was in a "committed relationship".

We fucked two days after they broke up.

Also, currently I told my main plate that I wrote a poem for her. I actually haven't but she brings this up at least 20 times a week and it drives her absolutely bat shit insane that I won't give it to her.

Long story short, she told him that shes going to another city for a week and then would come back. But within a week, his no. is blocked and even the WhatsApp contact. The girl is neither replying his text nor answering unknown no.

My "most likely scenario" is that she decided she doesn't want to jeopardize her current relationship. She made up with her boyfriend, is happy with that. She doesn't need your friend showing up on her phone.

Alternatively, no matter what is going on with her boyfriend, her boyfriend noticed she was talking to some new dude and she nixxed it.

Who give a fuck. All of that is on her end. Only thing that you could have controlled was escalation, availability, personal logistics, and not be unnatractive. Reading poetry probably didnt help your case.
