There is a recent phenomenon I have noticed in when it comes to the approach many women take in dating and marriage. Specifically, the lack of prioritizing of marriage as a goal in favor of taking a detour before making an effort towards that goal. It is something I refer to as a “back burner plan.” This is differs from “backup plan” in the manner that they have in their minds that they will be married someday to a particular type of guy, but there is a willful avoidance to making that goal a reality more promptly. Meanwhile, the backup plan is does not have that particular type of guy in mind as the ultimate goal, but is done when all other avenues fail to be fruitful. There certainly is a similarity in the lack of prioritizing marriage with the man in mind, where she is able to claim that the man she married is the one she “loves the most” even while she avoided that result until the last possible moment, but the back burner plan is far more deliberate in nature while the backup plan is more accidental.
The back burner plan has a distinct characteristic where the woman has it in her mind that she will be married to an upstanding man in a timeline that is convenient for her. The type of man will most often be the reliable, Beta Bucks man that she would see as a great husband and father, but not the exciting boyfriend. She truly believes that she can plan this sort of thing out perfectly, as if everything will fall into place at her appointed time. Meanwhile, she is free to have her exciting boyfriends that she knows that she will not marry, friends with benefits, flings and one night stands, or any combination of these things in all the years before the time frame she wants to find a different man to with whom she will settle down. She will justify this decision with many different rationales, including:
--“I need to find myself/I don’t know who I am” (As if she discover that through shacking up with some other man/many other men)
--“I want to be free before I am tied down” (Definitely not an insult to her prospective future husband)
--“I don’t have time due to my education/career.” (You will make time for things if you find them important. Is finding a good man to marry less important than anything else? And are you holding off on any men otherwise?)
--“I am just not ready to get married yet.” (I am sure whatever waiting period you deem acceptable will not be used to prepare yourself for marriage, but rather to live in a short term mindset.)
These excuses do nothing to tell anyone she sees as husband material that he is truly important to her. It is a major slap in the face to be told that you would be a hindrance to her having fun and excitement before her chosen time of marriage, since it is an admission that she would rather spend time without you when she has the options to do otherwise. Being put on the back burner for a later date shows that her priorities are not in a married life with you, but rather in living selfishly. If she truly loves you, she would think you are good enough to marry now, not just later down the line. She would not want to spend a moment not committed to you instead of attempting to avoid it until the last minute.
Men do not want to be your back burner plan. Married minded men are the ones looking for women who are marriage minded from the start, not women that think they can adopt this mindset at their convenience. Many men are opting out of accepting this bad deal, so many women will find that shoving men to the back burner will end up with them having their meal plans burned.

The way I see it, all these women who are 28+ gave their, fun, youthful, spontaneous, exciting years to other men, their jobs etc. Why should I a "good man" reward them with my commitment? I shouldn't and I won't. I would rather be alone than be some back burner male.
I thank my lucky stars every day I found places like this sub on the internet.

A great philosophy, my friend. And one I share.
I too am thankful the internet has exposed women for what they really are.

100% agree with this. I refuse to commit to a woman who has shunned me during her most exciting, curious years for Chads who just pump and dump, who thinks she can "tie me down" later on in life after many pregnancy scares, STDs, abortions, gangbangs, and who knows what else.

The insult is that many women don't see this as a problem, and are working overtime shame men into settling for BURNT TOAST! Smart men know better, and to make both the Backup and the Back Burner Plans more difficult to implement is that WITHOUT prompting, without coaching, and without constant discussion...many so-called Backup and Back Burner Men are giving these used up and stalled out sluts the huge waveoff.
Men inherently KNOW something is wrong whether they can identify the problem as a Red Pill man or simply based off their own instincts and a life-plan cost-benefit analysis.
The Bad Boy Phase until age 28 has worn thin on men. The problem is that women who show up in their late 20s and basically spurned these Beta-Provider males have literally conditioned these men to live without them. When these women are ready to activate their "plan," men are very accustomed to life as a single man. There are more single, never-married, and childless men today of ALL races than at any point in (U.S.) history....with many of these dudes never coming back to the Matrix.
Women don't care that non-Chads are checking out UNTIL they realize the Backup and Back Burner Men have already left the building.

Very good analysis of the situation. I would say for a while women were able to slut around with the bad boys before settling down with the beta guy and the beta guy thought he won out in the end because he thought she finally understood his worth. The internet has changed all that because now we can hear and share firsthand or secondhand information how many of those "happy endings" didn't end so happily as the movies try to make it seem for the "lucky" guy as he more often or not ended up in a marriage with a resentful wife who nagged and belittled him while giving starfish sex if any while she went back to slutting around after she got bored with her settled for husband. And many are the tales of those guys getting divorced raped on her initiative.
It used to be guys might think it was just a particular girl or a group of girls in his area and that surely there was better out there but with the internet guys started sharing their stories and finding similar behavior exactly as what was happening to them and around them with friends and family thus the Red Pill was born.
Same with me. I'd rather be alone than stuck in a loveless marriage with some embittered ex-CC rider who I have to constantly entertain to keep happy while I slave away to provide for her and kids who possibly aren't mine. More and more guys are realizing that being alone is not so bad and that more guys have been ruined by being in a relationship with an emotional-abusing potential BPD than just being single.
[–]BluepillProfessorMRP Mod 7 points8 points9 points (3 children) | Copy Link
Actually, more and more guys are realizing that it is not very hard to use a used up Thot for exactly what they are good for (hint: Not marriage). Guys are figuring out the P & D strategy and by the time they are in their upper 20's, they have usually figured out the advantage to holding onto their balls while they thrust into a fresh woman. Thus, they become jaded, even bitter, and are able to act in the ways that are sexually attractive to women (i.e. DNGAF, pump and dump).
So guys are not learning to "be alone" but rather learning to get what they want without the baggage.
Also, more and more guys are realizing the raw deal that marriage represents.
Faced with the horror of a marriage to a reformed CC rider who uses sex to control you and delights in throwing her power around to "punish" you, or being "alone" with a stable of used up Thots to bang, the choice is clear.
[–]rationalthought314Jr. Hamster Analyst 2 points3 points4 points (2 children) | Copy Link
I mean alone in terms of a relationship not without casual sex. The old "aren't you afraid of dying alone?" line isn't bothering guys so much anymore and many divorced men have little desire to go down that particular route again. P&D is not a relationship as you go and come as you please without worrying about entertaining and supporting. And really no one is alone if they have friends and family which is far preferable to a stagnant marriage with an embittered ex-CC rider who resents you.
[–]houseoftolstoyUnchivalrous Christian[S] 1 point2 points3 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Anyone who uses that line is just revealing their own fears. Projection at its finest, since women fear being alone far more than men.
[–]Aza383 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly, most men have spent some time alone unlike many women. Plus for a man it only gets easier to be alone as they get older while I'd argue its the opposite for women. When they are in their 30's there biological clock starts ticking and hormones kick into overdrive while men are starting to go the opposite way.
[–]SamsAdvice 2 points3 points4 points (3 children) | Copy Link
I can remember trying to convince a girl of this...eventually you walk away. And sometimes she comes back years later....used up, less attractive, offering scraps of herself(physical and emotional) but still expecting the world from you.
[–]rationalthought314Jr. Hamster Analyst 2 points3 points4 points (2 children) | Copy Link
Very true. The problem is we have been forced to swallow many blue pills growing up and a lot of guys think if they hold out eventually the girl they love will come to their senses and realize he's a decent guy and they'll live happily ever after like in the movies. As you say, when they do come back they are usually worn out physically and emotionally lacking that once vibrant spark you once found so engaging. Now she's burdened with a host of psychological baggage that she expects you to put up with and possibly a bastard kid or two. No thank you to that nonsense!
[–]SamsAdvice 2 points3 points4 points (1 child) | Copy Link
I want to emphasize she still won't treat you great. You are still supposed to feel blessed for her giving you the opportunity to be in her presence. Its not even about her treating you like Chad(god like), its about her treating you great like you treat her. She might at first, but quickly it will be one-sided as soon as she thinks she has secured your attention. It will be about you treating her great, and you being lucky to be with her.
[–]rationalthought314Jr. Hamster Analyst 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. This is why the movie style ending of this kind of story is more fictional than real. Far more common than happily-ever after are the stories of the guys who took up with these reformed CC-riders only to get saddled with her issues, constant nagging, resentment for having had to settle for him, starfish sex and to top it off her cheating on him and eventually divorcing him.
This is the biggest rub - so many guys who have much more to offer society in general are seen as useless and disposable especially by themselves but a worn-out CC rider with little in the way of skills, earning and saving abilities, knowledge, loyalty to friends and partners can still see herself as a princess worthy of praise despite bringing nothing to the proverbial table.

I have learnt to accept the shame and provoke it. When I'm shamed I get angry and when I'm angry I have the spine to say no, something which I find hard to do when I'm in a good mood. When people see how they are actually helping you by shaming you they quickly back down.
[–]SamsAdvice 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Some of these-non-Chads end up turning into Chads or Chad-lites overtime as well. And the reverse happens...Chads turning into betas(turning women off and encouraging them to leave..when they aren't ready to settle down.)
[–]houseoftolstoyUnchivalrous Christian[S] 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Very good points, since the delay game works far better in the end for men than women, even though it is women who are doing the more active role in delaying any search for a man worth marrying. If women signaled that they wanted marriage much earlier, men would be more inclined to reciprocate this signal.
Men have never been portrayed as unhappy in bachelorhood, while women have not had the same portrayal if they become spinsters. This is not to say that stories are an argument to truth, but when we observe today articles regarding who is more upset at being single past the age of 30, it is not the men who are complaining more. Therefore, I am more inclined to trust those stories' portrayals based on current observations matching what those stories show.

See, women are chaotic forces of nature. If you know how to deal with her, you are respectively safe. If you are Chad, tiger will not pounce you for minor infraction but maul you if you royally screw up.
Settling means that tiger hates you, and will kill you when given any chance.

Why wouldn't she believe that? Modern feminism has taught her that she deserves to have it all, and any impediment to her having it all must be sexism. Furthermore, she has always had hordes of men and women catering to her for her entire life. It's rational to assume that everything will work out as you want it to when your entire life experience has consisted of people going out of their way to make it so.

This line of action generally does not work, because we are animals when we mate. It is an illusion to say that one controls his/her heart. It is twice as delusional for women because they control (and may bear the biggest burden of) pregnancy, which is the final objective of this "game". Penises *might* be used for fun, but not pussies.

You are quite right about that. Funny how after you have already written something and only find out later through replying to someone's comment do you realize that there was a better way to state your ideas.

Steel sharpens steel. One of the best ways to hone yourself is through discussing your ideas with others. While I'm not one for debates, I'm all for discussions done properly.

I'm not a religious man, but the Bible is interesting on the matter:
Fountain here is referring to either the woman herself, her blessings, or a man's home / resources. Either way, the intent is clear: the quote refers to being happy with your wife into old age, by remembering how she was when she was young (at the peak of her attractiveness).
Nowadays, of course, someone on "the back burner plan" can only remember her as someone who longs for Chad, and is only with her current man because her choices were to get with him or die alone. Not that the "backup plan" woman is much better; she views her man more like an IRA account. He is the failsafe, but if she would have won the lottery with Chad then there would be no need for him anymore. This man sees the woman of her youth as a conniving, self-serving person, rather than someone who loves him.

The manipulation is real. I used to have empathy for these late 20s and early 30s women, but not in this day and age.
Real Talk - women who truly desire husband, marriage, and family can easily make this happen between ages 18 to 24...18 to 21 if they're REALLY on top of their game. Ages 18 to 24 is plenty of time to graduate college and start a career... although nowadays I'd be wary of college women as a general rule.
Women who don't attend college should be locked in at age 21 at the very least. Many women hate these numbers because smart men know the excuses:
--“I need to find myself/I don’t know who I am” (As if she discover that through shacking up with some other man/many other men)
--“I want to be free before I am tied down” (Definitely not an insult to her prospective future husband)
--“I don’t have time due to my education/career.” (You will make time for things if you find them important. Is finding a good man to marry less important than anything else? And are you holding off on any men otherwise?)

Proverbs 5-7:
My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel. 2 Then you will show discernment, and your lips will express what you’ve learned. 3 For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. 4 But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.[a] 6 For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it.
7 So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say: 8 Stay away from her! Don’t go near the door of her house! 9 If you do, you will lose your honor and will lose to merciless people all you have achieved. 10 Strangers will consume your wealth, and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor. 11 In the end you will groan in anguish when disease consumes your body. 12 You will say, “How I hated discipline! If only I had not ignored all the warnings! 13 Oh, why didn’t I listen to my teachers? Why didn’t I pay attention to my instructors? 14 I have come to the brink of utter ruin, and now I must face public disgrace.”
15 Drink water from your own well— share your love only with your wife.[b] 16 Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone?[c] 17 You should reserve it for yourselves. Never share it with strangers.
18 Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19 She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love. 20 Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman, or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?
