First of all, no, you are not crazy. Look at this objectively. He lied to you, he tried to hide the evidence, and then when you called him out he tried to blame you instead of taking any accountability. Your relationship to this man should be done. He has shown you exactly what kind of person he is, and trust me, it does not get better.

For future reference, do not give a man the “benefit of the doubt”. Our gut is there for a reason. You had all the confirmation you needed when he deleted the comment and you learned the truth from the other woman. By giving him a ‘gotcha’ moment you are enabling him to better hide evidence of his misbehavior in the future which is doing a disservice to other women he is going to likely try to manipulate.

The only correct response in this moment is to block him on all avenues, and do not “explain what he did wrong” anymore. He knows what he did wrong, he literally deleted the evidence. This isn’t personal against you, he’s just an asshole who doesn’t give a shit about anything but his dick. That is not a man you want any kind of relationship with.

I think that you need to take a break from dating and do some reflection. It sounds like you got really invested quickly and were willing to try to overlook things that weren’t making you happy.

He was not treating you well, and you were not wrong to message her to find out what was happening. There was no reason to meet with him after finding out what was going on though, and meeting with him did not benefit your well-being.
