I wanted to throw this story out and see if you ladies have experienced similar.

I used to have an ex that wanted me to wait to be treated for dinner/outings until he got a job. This was right out of college and I idiotically thought this was okay. His unemployment lasted for months.

Fast forward and he got a job and started to take me out to lunches/dinner. I noticed that after he started to spend on me he also was more interested on what I had on my phone. When I would scroll through my photos he would hover over to see if he’d see anything. Hard to explain but I know you guys recognize what I’m talking about.

Mind you, later I found out he was talking to random girls online, so no he never cared about me. But what really tripped me out was that the moment he was dropping money was the moment he was interested if I was hiding something.

It was just nasty how he was just protecting his “investments”.

Am I reaching?
