How do I know I’m ready to date?

From my own personal experience:

You will be happy in yourself and feel as though having a partner will add and enhance that happiness but will not be the sole provider of happiness.

You are looking for someone to add to your life. Bring you happiness, support you, make you feel sexy and make you feel good.

I'd try out some online dating platforms as this is a good tool I found in assessing whether I actually wanted something long term or not.

Be patient and don't settle for anything less than what you deserve and desire.

The other commenter is spot on. I'd also recommend taking a year or two to become comfortable as a singleton. I've had friends that have created milestones for themselves- for example, they did not date for one year following the breakup. They realized towards the end of that year how unprepared they were at the beginning of it.
