I need help because I don’t want to keep dancing around this and my friends aren’t any help.

I (25) went on the first date with a guy(29) I’d been talking to for a few months just this past Sunday. Everything went well, the conversation was nice, and he was so focused on me like I was the only person at the restaurant. He also did a few gentlemanly things that I haven’t experience before on any date in the past, such as pulling out my chair for me first, and maneuvering me in a way so that I was inside and he was curbside while walking on the sidewalk as he walked me back to my car.

After that, he kept in regular contact with me even though he works and has a heavy course load for this semester. I haven’t sensed any red flags. I don’t get any of the “iM ToO BuSy” excuses that I’ve gotten from past charity cases. I’ve kept myself busy too, especially since I just got an offer for a new job that I wanted so badly, so I’ve been focused on getting myself ready for it.

But I noticed this week that even though we’ve been consistently talking after our first date...for someone who supposedly is “really into me” and wants to see me again soon, I see no action on his end to plan our next date? My mom says I’m rushing things but the words are not matching the actions here IMO. He knows when I’m free, and he’s aware that I like to plan things ahead of time.

I told my mom I’m giving him two weeks. If he can’t plan a date without me having to drop hints or suggestions I’m out.

Or do you all think I should I kick this one off my rotation right now and not even wait the two weeks?
