I think you're already on the right track. The fact that it naturally makes you want to care less is a good thing. Once you realize women's true nature you won't be able to help but care less about them.

Don't get mad at her or give off the impression that you're disappointed. Instead just find something that makes you happy and do that. Carry that happiness with you in the home.
