TLDR; What is the best way to modify wife’s behavior towards other people(specifically parents)?
Quick background: Married 5 years, 40M 34F 10 month old Lifts and Looks: 6’1” 215 lbs, Big 3 over 1500, 14% bf by Dexa. Soft 6 pack. Good here but can lose a few pounds. Finances: Killing it, but hours are rough(60-80hrs a week). Manage all finances. Sex: 3-4x a week, not a problem. House: relatively in order, but always room for improvement.
With regards to the marriage. Came in blue-pilled, lacked abundance, found “the one,” and then proceeded to ignore every imaginable warning sign, Standard stuff here. Wife was both verbally and physically abusive, and I was dumb enough to engage. Found RP two years into the marriage but honestly half assed it for a while before buckling down. Worked on a lot of things and she basically fell in line. Got her pregnant, and the pregnancy was fine. Had a kid, kid is beautiful.
After she gave birth my mother in law moved in with us to help take care of the kid. This was unexpected(we were going to get a nanny). She’s been great, but my wife returned to her ways of being verbally abusive towards her. Also, she’s taken to treating my parents like shit, and is attempting to gaslight me so that my parents don’t have easy access to the kid. I spoke with her about the shitty behavior and verbal assault towards the parents; she agreed that it was not right and that she would work on her behavior. The problem is I don’t know how to set up a boundary as this is shit behavior towards other people not me.
As an aside, the only reason I fucking care is because I don’t want my daughter to learn and then model this shit behavior.
During the past year I basically dropped all dread(she was pregnant) so my approach has been to slowly up it; currently at a 3, transitioning to 4, but it’s weird just walking out when my wife starts yelling at her mom. With my parents it’s easier but she continues to verbally shit all over them. I’m not sure exactly the best approach, but I feels strongly about this. I’ve seen a lawyer who basically recommended a post-nup with a clause that my wife take anger management therapy. If she refuses then divorce. Haven’t spoke to her about this yet as I haven’t been able to successfully set up a clear boundary that I can enforce.
