As someone who has been clean of social media for 5 months, my quality of life has significantly improved.

As for her, you could try and help to guide her back onto the right path. The main reasons why she’s losing clothing is down to (but not limited to):

A. Low self esteem (thus, not secure in Christ).

B. Today’s social media Sex culture.

C. The 000’s of beta simps liking it gives her the validation she craves as a result of A.

What can we do? Stay off of it as best as possible. People vote with their feet. No users = no business.

You should focus on your mission, not what these cucks on social media dictate you should do.

As this becomes more prevalent in society, is there something we should do?

Leave. Don't use it unless you're anonymous. Social media is used to advertise to us, harvest our information, and control public opinion. Especially for young single men, its harms outweigh its benefits.

I won't knock those who have the fortitude to use it for ministry, but I think most of us are better served away from it. It can and has damaged us. As Nietzsche said, "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."

tagging u/thechristianalpha because he has incorporated social media into his ministry, and will have a informed opinion that may be very different from mine. Seeing both extremes will help us all to understand the full spectrum.

Loving the conversations here about social media, feeling really convicted now since I definitely spend way too much time on Instagram and Farcebook.

FB and Insta are designed to mimic slot machines and this does a bunch of stuff to our heads. What I've found is how I'll scroll and can't stop because I'm looking for something funnier, cooler or more interesting to get that dopamine fix.

It's similar to how the slot machine makes you keep scrolling to get your money back. God I want to stop! Social media is cancer.

Yeah I think we should call people out more in general (Iron sharpens Iron). Not in a dick way but in an open, honest yet humorous way (all calling out sin is meant to do, is bring it into the light so that it can be seen for what it is). The onus is then on the other person to change it.

For example, there have been times where I literally said to a girl (I know fairly well): "X, that's a lot of cleavage.." And if any Christian feminists push back on it.

Tbh, I wish the Christians I knew had the balls to honestly call me out on certain behaviours. It would've held me in much better stead than the endless theological debates they like to ramble about...

Uh, yeah, you do. Christians are supposed to help each other if they get off track. Matthew 18 and other verses from the Scriptures are pretty clear on that.
