Frame is how you operate within the world and how the world operates around you.

Ultimately it comes down to this

Do people affect your views and emotions and what you want to say, do and act, or do you affect people?

eg.

If you are having a conversation with someone and you say something which they disagree with, do you bend or compromise your view because of their disagreement/to appease the tension or do you stand firm in your view?

If someone says something negative about you, does it bother you or not?

Do you not say something because you are concerned about the ramifications or do you say whatever it is that you want to say regardless?

If you want to eat/drink somewhere but the other person does not, do you go to where they want or where you want?

That is her looking for a man to lead the relationship.

Frame is basically your rules and how you apply those rules to the world.

It sounds like she is asking you to act more masculine which indicates that the relationship does not operate in your frame. She is instructing you on how to be a man......not in your frame.

That fact that she is telling you what she likes....means you are not delivering or are somehow lacking....but I'm betting you try you best to make her happy.

That there is the mistake, and th reason she feels comfortable enough to critique your behavior. You have put her on a pedestal.

Good frame in a relationship is doing whatever makes you happy FIRST and worrying about her later. Not caring about what she wants in a man, or in what way she wants you to lead.

Constantly having to make the decision can be exhausting and is a real responsibility. You also take the flack if your plans don't go well. Responsibility of planning should be shared and even put on her plate VERY often.

By basically making all the choices, you are serving her, and making her life easy. Her frame all day, not yours.

For example, the frame you set with your boss at work or your subordinates, if you are the boss.

The frame you enter a relationship with, and the frame you leave a relationship with
