I think your ultimate motive here is to try and hamster a way out of lifting, because you asked this question:

Is it even worth lifting when you are getting such little sleep?

Create a plan where you lift 3 days a week. Two approaches. Lift on your 2 off days and lift on one of your 8 hour days, or lift on one of your off days and lift on 2 of your 8 hour days.

64 hours a week isn't that bad. I was able to lift 3 days a week working 90+ hours a week.

I don't think you're hamstering out of lifting. Genuine concern. For one month I only got four or five hours of sleep a night and it wore be out big league

In the beggining I thought about shit like this as the other commenter said as a way to hamster a way out of lifting. Then I thought about athletes and especially military men. Do they obsess about meal timing, macros, and sleep time? No. They work hard everyday, eat when they eat, and sleep when they sleep and their bodies respond.

Not saying this stuff isn't worth thinking about but just keep lifting and learning every day and constantly work to optimize all fronts.

Get to lifting. Eat well. If you're seeing yourself dragging after a week or two cut your volume a little. Overtraining is feared way too much.

There are two factors in recovery, one is food and the other is sleep.

Sleep is not unimportant as is being implied here.

But the proper macros of high quality food is the more important of the two recovery factors.

Ya, it's hard. You'll need to learn how to work out at home more without weights or machines until you buy them and make MORE time for sleep.

Sleep is super-critical to gains. When you are sleep deprived your body will not regulate hormones properly so your muscles will NOT build effectively from your workouts and your digestion will also suffer.

Poor nutrient uptake = poor gains because that's the building block for muscles. You need those amino acids assembled right and the energy processed to do it.

You must increase the sleep above 5 hours.

When you prioritize lifting over everything, you'll find a way. I've never worked such hours, but I have had things trying to stop me from going to the gym. I remember once I was going on vacation after a work day and I asked to get off work early. My supervisor was just making small talk with me and asked me what time I was leaving for my trip. Without thinking, I told him what time I was leaving but that I was getting off work early so I could go to the gym before heading out. He did give me a weird look but it wasn't because I didn't really have to miss work, it was a look like, 'damn you're really commited to that'
