So an old friend (friends around 2010, drifted apart after about a year of friendship) dated a girl for a year or two (more recently). They broke up about a year ago. He quickly got a new girlfriend.

I am conversing on a swipe app and bam...I realize its my buddies ex. We talk about hitting the bars, then she addressed the elephant in the room and I go silent.

About 3 months pass, I am at my 10 year high school reunion. My old high school friend has a female friend as a date...its her. Go to the after party drinking a bit and she and I are talking and end up making out. She informs me that her ex (my old friend) cheated on her with the new gf and thats why she ended it. Make out more and good drunken vibes, I head home and go to bed.

Noticed today, about a week later, that she had FB messaged me that night giving me her number and inviting me over.

My old friend has a new gf, and is sober and battling addiction. Do I leave her alone? Ask the bro I haven't hung out with in nearly a decade for permission to plate? Or just go ahead and plate?
