Answer: no. It isn’t. Selfish maybe, but not manipulative.

But I don’t know what to say when someone accuses my softnexting, STFUing, and boundary setting of being controlling/manipulative. When my girlfriend says she walks on eggshells around me, I don’t know what to say.

She recently annoyed me by nagging and beginning to act controlling. I have a goal and she thinks I’m going about it wrong. I disagree. It’s my goal and I’m accountable to myself not her. So I stopped responding to her texts and calls. I like to live my life a certain way and having a nagging girlfriend is not in the picture. I’d rather be single than deal with her nagging.

Problem is, I don’t know how I want to express that. Some of you guys are pretty artful with language and that has improved my communication skills. If one of you wordsmiths has a suggestion, or can explain how to approach this it would help. Thanks.
