So, where I work, there is a couple of girls I'm interested in. They work in the same building, not near the same dept. I know people talk so if I go straight for the jugular and ask one out, she will most likely say no out of fear of dating a co-worker and be sure to blab to everyone. I don't know this factually, but assuming the worst.
My question is, whenever I bump into one, I keep it to a simple how is your day. I believe I have made some inroads into a couple of them. They are at the stage where we exchange looks walking past each other (I don't mean this to sound creepy, it's not as cringey as I'm making it out to be).
What topics can I just introduce? I mean, I'm done asking how their days are, or what they're up to professionally. What can I jump to?
As a caveat, if it goes that way I'll happily one out. I'm using my surroundings as practice more than anything else. But I just need a bit of a hint on where else I can take "I've just bumped into you in the kitchen" sort of conversation.
