I see on TRP that it is usually frowned upon when a guy gives up commitment before sex. I'm wondering why this is the case.

The way I understand it is that girls would fuck you if they want to fuck you. If they bring up "commitment", it's because they see you as a BB instead of AF.

In my country (Asia) there's a stronger emphasis on relationships, and being quite sexually-conservative, I see many young couples who have relationships past 3 months who still have not had sex. Culture plays a strong part in this, especially given that most people live with their parents until the age of 26+ (when they have a job), making logistics an issue.

I for one, after two dates with a girl, got asked the question "so what are we". When I made it clear that I usually have sex with the girl before a relationship, she also made it very clear that she wants a commitment before sex -- because she's been "pumped and dumped" one time and she doesn't want it again (she's 18 and has had two sexual partners, one of them pump and dumped her). I respected that and decided I'll give her a chance -- I do not think this undermines my value, and frankly, although sex was at the back of my mind, I did enjoy spending time with her.

Looking back, I realize my decision to be committed to her would be frowned upon because it makes it seem like my commitment is worth less than her sex. But in hindsight, after two months of dating, and applying TRP principles, I've basically converted her -- she does many things for me, including massages, cleaning/cooking, buying gifts, and obviously sex. She respects me from the ground up. When all I do in return is fuck her well, and validate her by being in a relationship with her. I rarely exhibit BB traits (being a provider), though I do occasionally make sweet and cutesy comments as part of my repertoire/personality. Most of the time, I distribute many AF traits. I am assertive, always take the lead, assert boundaries when they are breached (she has apologized to every single argument we've had because she knows she's the one that went out of line), and obviously dominate her in the bedroom. She always comes back for more.

Now I'm sure there are always exceptions. Now I'm sure that the girls that go clubbing where I'm from would have different values. But the majority here value relationship over sex, and sex-before-a-relationship is generally frowned upon.

I'm wondering what TRP's take on this is. And would love to hear from my fellow Asian brothers out there to know if this is the common case scenario.

TL;DR Asian countries expect men to commit before women give sex. Same rules apply or callibration needed?
