I recently turned 18. I'm 6 foot 1 and weigh 193 pounds. I have played many sports when I was younger so I already have a nice muscle base (thick neck from football, wide shoulders from swimming and muscular legs from soccer), so I could say that I am bigger than the average teenager, but still kinda skinny. I also pack extra amounts of fat around my stomach area and chest area, which is kind of annoying.

I'd say that my mom's cooking is the cause of my genetic-defying height (been taller than my parents for 5 years) and my good muscle mass/weight. The food I eat is very diverse and has a high nutritional value.

My question is: should I not worry too much about tweaking my diet and just go workout? I have a nice weight for my height (with a little too much fat on the side) and a bit better than average muscle mass.
