I think the moral answer to this question is YES, men SHOULD be allowed to opt out of child support in the context of state as a collection agency. It is immoral for the state to use force to steal money from an individual, regardless of the circumstances.

I think the best thing to do is for one parent to choose a fair arrangement, and then for the other parent to choose which end he's on. Both sides should feel it's at least fair. Not that anyone except single fathers cares about justice in this case.

Child support should not exist. The parent with primary custody should be completely responsible for the financial welfare of that child. That's how it worked up until feminism took over the court system.

If abortion is going to be legal and women can "choose", then men should also be able to "choose" if he wants to support the child. "Choice" as they call is, should be for both parties.
