So I approached a group of girls at the bar ordering a drink. One of them seemed receptive, but once the bartender gave them their drinks they left to go to their table and she went with her friends and she said goodbye (context covid rules mean most people are seated at tables.)

Was there anyway I could have extended the interaction or was she not interested and that’s why she left?

More broadly how to handle approaching at night when there is some kind of time constraint? I.e waiting in line to get in, ordering a drink at the bar, etc.
