background ;

parents are both retired, mid 50's and i just turned 20 . Have an older sister which is 1 year older than me . Mother was the main breadwinner in our family, she pays almost everything (bills, etc.). She makes most of the decisions and father will just do whatever she wants without questioning .

i've been reading trp forawhile and realized how my family works , and how much of a beta i was (around girls and etc) . Thus , i kept my distance from them , we rarely talk about things . One thing I've been asking them is for a new car , and everytime I ask my father about it , he will come up with excuses and ends it by saying 'ask mother' .

I still remember a few years back when my sister just got her driving licence , they were discussing about a new car and took her to view and test drive various cars before purchasing one . She had a choice , and when my turn came , i didn;t have one . I picked up my sister's old ride and it's been 2 years , it;s really an old car .

I admit I'm still not fully TRP , and being in the most top university in my place , there's always peer pressure . I'm now a lot more confident with girls, approaching people , but when its time for me to take them for a ride , all my confidence dissapear . The car im driving is like an iphone4 compared to all big screen phones today . I also dont think im asking much , not asking for something luxury , just a well to do car where it theres no rattling sound , bumpy etc. and shit while i drive .

and recently they just bought a house, and told me they dont have money for a car . are parents still living with the 90;s mindset , and not fully understanding their son . or am i just being a beta phuck .

because i know , if i managed to make them buy me a car , i will sense that feeling of guilt or something . but at the same time i do not wish to go thru the rest of my uni live with this experience .

looking for real advises on what my mindset should be .
